Today, at the site of ancient Nicaea, Pope Leo XIV joined around 27 other leaders of Christian communities to commemorate the 1700 anniversary of the first Council. Leo XIV thanked the Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, for his "great wisdom and foresight" in calling for Church leaders to celebrate this important anniversary together. However, Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow was not invited to the ecumenical prayer. Cardinal Kurt Koch told CruxNow.com ahead of the liturgy: "The Catholics have invited Catholics and the Orthodox invite Orthodox". He added that he respects the "decision of the Orthodox" not to invite the world’s largest Orthodox group. Picture: VaticanNews.va, #newsYaitxdonvz

Tucho Must Be Removed: On 25 November, Cardinal Víctor Fernández, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, said at a press conference on monogamy that, when he was a student in Rome 40 years ago, there was a joke that "Romans had their wife, but most of them also had another woman and even another man". ElWanderer.com comments that Tucho's telling of such a coarse joke shows very low moral standards: an inability to distinguish between what is fitting and what is not, and between what is pure and what is vulgar. Tucho's words are sadly consistent with his earlier erotic writings: "I also wonder what circles he was moving in as a student to hear that kind of talk." ElWanderer.com insists that Tucho must be removed.
Tucho: "Quando ero studente qui a Roma, quarant’anni fa, si diceva che i romani avevano la loro moglie, ma che la maggioranza aveva anche un’altra donna e anche un uomo. Non si sapeva se ridere o piangere."

The province of Quebec has pushed secularism another step with Bill-9. The law is intended to make sure day care workers don't wear religious symbols, such as a cross, hijab or kippa, that institutions like hospitals offer religious meals, like kosher and halal, must have an alternative meal, and no public prayers and prayer rooms in schools, universities and colleges. The idea is to make sure Quebec is secular. No religion wanted here. This new legislation goes further than the previous law, Bill 21, passed in 2019 which prohibits workers in public institutions from wearing religious symbols. This includes police officers, judges, principals, teachers and other public employees. No crosses, turbans, hijabs and kippahs. The Quebec government's mission was to laicize public spaces and institutions. The name of the law says it all: it's an "Act respecting the laicity of the State." Religion must be kept private. Worship and pray and dress with all the religious symbols you want but do it …
Catholic Frequency - We must start fighting back. Our weak leaders aren’t going to save us. We must start fighting back. Our weak leaders aren’t going to save us.
Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, and for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, yet I rejoice that You have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, and never to stop defending life until all my brothers and sisters are protected, and our nation once again becomes a nation with liberty and justice not just for some, but for all, through Christ our Lord. Amen! (from EWTN)
Most Merciful Lord, the Giver of Life; we entreat You, look with compassion and tender mercy upon Your children who have been condemned to death by abortion. You, who said, “Suffer the little children to come to me and forbid them not, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven,” do now we humbly pray, grant the inheritance of Your Kingdom to the multitude of innocents who have perished in their mother’s wombs by the unjust judgement of men. We beseech you to soften the hearts of mothers and fathers who seek to destroy Your little ones. Pour out upon them Your Divine grace that they may be convicted in their hearts and turn from their evil ways to embrace the True Faith. Upon those that have committed this cruelty: render not unto them according to their deeds, but rather have mercy on them. Pierce their hearts with compunction and make their eyes stream with tears of repentance, joining their weeping with that of Rachel and her beloved children. For You are a merciful God, the Giver of Life …More

11/28/2025 Entire blog as a free PDF eBook. In the vastness of the internet, I came across a story about the divorce of two nations, a story that has been circulating for at least a decade. I was unable to trace the originator of this modern legend and therefore will not reveal the source. Over 20 years ago, the Ukrainian woman divorced her Russian husband. They had children together. Her husband (Russia) was generous, leaving his wife a large inheritance and even settling her $200 billion debt. After the separation, the woman began flirting with a local thug (representing the USA) and a gang of robbers (representing the West). From then on, she listened only to their opinions and began fighting her ex-husband with them. Enraged, her husband forcibly took her daughter – Crimea – from her. The furious woman then announced her intention to marry a NATO citizen to force her ex-husband to return Crimea. However, the American thug refused to marry her and to confront her ex-husband – Russia. …
