Don Maurizio Gronchi, a consultant to the Vatican Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, told AciPrensa.com on 18 November that the drafting of Tucho’s recent document Mater Populi Fidelis against the title Co-Redemptrix had a striking feature. Don Gronchi co-presented the document alongside Tucho and is an enemy of the title. The Dicastery's work has historically been 'collegial'. For each topic studied, the Dicastery draws on the input of internal consultants, external experts and other sources. However, in the case of this document on Marian titles, "no collaborating Mariologists could be found", according to Fr Gronchi. He pointed out that neither the faculty of the Marianum nor the Pontifical International Marian Academy participated in the presentation of the document. In his opinion, this can be interpreted as a “silence” that “can be understood as dissent”. Picture: Infovaticana, #newsEjbrmvmlnm
Norwegian bishop Erik Varden spoke to 'Communio' magazine on November 19 about personal experiences. Key quotes from this wonderful interview – including wishful thinking. - I am not convinced by the sociological data on religion, which suggests that religious indifference is on the rise. - I have the utmost respect for the Pew Research Centre, but I must say that, purely empirically, the statement does not correspond with my own observations. - The trend is clear and growing steadily: young people long for substance. I see them faithfully attending well-prepared and carefully designed Eucharists. - What I am witnessing is a new search for meaning, for criteria, for community, for truth. - In Scandinavia, secularisation has now come to an end. Quite simply because there is actually nothing left to secularise. - The fact that human beings somehow carry a desire for the limitless within themselves is also evident in a very secular discourse, most recently in transhumanism. - When confronted …More
[Saint Victorinus – III-IV Century AD; Roman Greece/Pettau, Roman Greece; Spiritual Writer; Martyr under Diocletian] “On the fifth day the land and water brought forth their progenies. On the sixth day the things that were wanting were created; and thus God raised up man from the soil, as lord of all the things which He created upon the earth and the water. Yet He created angels and archangels before He created man, placing spiritual beings before earthly ones. For light was made before sky and the earth. This sixth day is called parasceve, that is to say, the preparation of the kingdom. For He perfected Adam, whom He made after His image and likeness. But for this reason He completed His works before He created angels and fashioned man, lest perchance they should falsely assert that they had been His helpers. On this day also, on account of the passion of the Lord Jesus Christ, we make either a station to God, or a fast. On the seventh day He rested from all His works, and blessed it …More

Two Roman Catholic priests have been released by Belarus following diplomatic outreach from the Vatican. President Alexander Lukashenko pardoned Rev Henrykh Akalatovich, who had been convicted to an 11-year sentence for "treason", and Rev Andrzej Yukhnevich, who was convicted to 13 years earlier this year on charges he denied. According to the human rights group Viasna, both priests had long faced pressure from the authorities. Akalatovich was arrested shortly after undergoing cancer surgery, while Yukhnevich had previously been detained for symbolic acts such as displaying a Ukrainian flag. The state agency Belta described the release as a 'gesture of mercy' tied to intensified contacts with the Vatican. The Catholic Church in Belarus said the move followed last month's visit by Cardinal Claudio Gugerotti, who was sent by Pope Leo XIV.

Earlier in November: Openly gay ABC News anchor Gio Benitez joins the Catholic church with his husband serving as his sponsor. Benitez says his confirmation mass at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan was inspired by the late Pope Francis. "My deepest gratitude to Fr. Eric Andrews, Fr. James Martin, Fr. Paul Rospond, and Fr. Chris Lawton for showing me that God’s loving mercy is unconditional..." he said on IG. "And [thanks] to my incredible husband and sponsor Tommy DiDario for supporting me through it all."
Ezekiel 3:18-19 "When I say to the wicked, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his wicked ways so that he may live, he will die for his sin, but I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his evil ways, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved your life."
The low-budget film Sacré Coeur has become a box office success in France, drawing over 400,000 viewers since October 1. Focused on the 17th-century apparitions to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, it blends reenactments, testimonies, and expert input. MediaTransports — the advertising agency for SNCF and RATP — rejected a planned metro and train-station poster campaign, calling the project “religious and proselytizing.” An October 22 screening at the Château de La Buzine, a municipal cinema, was also canceled for allegedly violating France’s secularism rules. Still, lines grow weekly. Jesuits have objected that the film ignores their historical role in spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart.

Leo XIV Visits Assisi for Bishops’ Assembly: The Pope traveled to Assisi today to meet the bishops of the Italian Episcopal Conference at the close of their 81st General Assembly. His first stop was the tomb of St. Francis, where he emphasized the saint’s powerful example “at a time when the world is searching for signs of hope.” He will also visit an Augustinian convent in Montefalco. In a week, he will depart on his first international trip, to Turkey and Lebanon.

Today, Pope Leo XIV delivered a lengthy speech to the Italian bishops gathered in Assisi that was full of empty, pious words. He admitted that his guidelines for the Church "correspond to the perspectives that emerged during the synodal journey of the Church in Italy". However, the Italian Synod accepted homosexuality and female deacons in October. Pope Leo XIV commented: "It is now up to you, bishops, to outline the pastoral guidelines for the coming years." He hopes that a "synodal spirit" will develop. At the same time, he announced the merger of Italian dioceses. For Leo XIV, synodality requires communion among the bishops and the Pope, as well as "attentive listening and serious discernment of the requests that come from the people of God" [=media]. He wants to promote the greater participation of the people in the consultation process for the appointment of new bishops. Furthermore: "A synodal Church [...] needs to renew itself continually. We must avoid allowing inertia, even …More
The Synod's general secretary has prepared a document on a 'female diaconate', for which the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith will be responsible for drafting the final report. ElWanderer.com wrote on 19 November that this is an "imminent danger" because of Tucho’s track record of never missing an opportunity to cause serious problems for the Church. In Catholicism, Holy Orders in the three forms deacon, priest and bishop are reserved for men for ontological reasons. ElWanderer speculates that Tucho will resort to the tactic he applied in Fiducia Supplicans, which he likely considers 'brilliant': a non-liturgical blessing for each of the lovers, but not for the couple. Regarding female deacons, Tucho could argue that the female diaconate does not belong to the sacrament of Holy Orders, but is ministerial. Therefore, women can receive it, as Pope Francis claimed in 2021. Receiving a 'diaconate' would be an upgrade for women, as it would be a step up from the acolyte. They could …More
He's basically is proposing a PROTESTANT understanding of "ministry" - jettisoning the concept of sacramental Holy Orders for "lay ecclesial ministers" representing the "community". When I was attending graduate studies in theology, it was all the rage with even a few gals in our classes claiming that they would be the first women to break the "stained glass ceiling"! But we all know that Francis & co. - like true modernists - are really Lutherans at heart!
Catholic priest - son of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Monsignor Hugh Benson’s birthday (18 November 1871) inspires a reflection on his life, shaped this year by the publication of the long-awaited Benson Diary (Volumes I–II, 2025), the vast journals of his brother Arthur Christopher (AC) Benson. Edited by Eamon Duffy and Ronald Hyam, these volumes present around one-twelfth of AC’s enormous 180-volume diary (nearly five million words), widely praised as a major contribution to English diaristic literature. AC Benson — Eton housemaster, Master of Magdalen College, prolific writer, and author of the lyrics to “Land of Hope and Glory” — recorded an extraordinary picture of late-Victorian and Edwardian intellectual life. The new edition has been lauded by reviewers, though with one dissent from Sir Vernon Bogdanor, who considers the diaries excessive in their scholarly treatment and little more than refined gossip. The Benson family itself was remarkable. Hugh was the youngest child …More

A large part of Radical Fidelity’s mission is to show, from as many angles as possible, that the sinister drivel flowing from the Vatican is not the real Catholic Faith. It is not even a slight deviation, or a watered-down version, nor is it the But a different religion, nonetheless. If I were merely some lunatic raving day after day about the superiority of Rugby over Iron Grid, or whether one political party is better than another, I could understand if people relegated my writings to the permanently deleted bin. They would be justified. But that is not the case. If you believe As I said, there are, of course, those who have read this far and whose eyes by now have glazed over due to the modernist spiritual fluoride they have been ingesting through the “spirit of Vatican II” and its diabolical culmination, namely Synodality. These people are probably staring blankly at their screens right now, wondering what I am on about. But for those who still have two brain cells dialoguing and …
