The Litany of the Saints is a very ancient Christian prayer in which the Church militant calls upon the Church triumphant for help for themselves and the Church suffering. This prayer is of particular use as our fathers enduring all forms of suffering to bring to us the saving faith we now enjoy. Traditionally this prayer is prayed during a penitential procession on the Greater Rogation Day (April 25) as well as the Lesser Rogation Days (the Monday through Wednesday before Ascension Thursday). This ancient practice has been suppressed in the modern reform and the Litany of Saints, to my knowledge, is only prayed at the Easter Vigil and at an Ordination. Unfortunately, like the other prayers of the Holy Mass, much of this prayer was further edited in the modern reform. For example the petition “against the enemies of Holy Church” is specifically mentioned by Pope St. Paul VI's translation document Comme le prevoit 24 as being “contrary to Modern Christian ideas.” Thus it was removed …More
Archbishop Josef Grünwidl of Vienna, Austria, who was appointed by Pope Leo XIV on 17 October, would rather have parishes without priests than have the faithful drive distances to attend a Eucharist. He told the Austrian state broadcaster ORF (October 30): "I believe that we should not think of the Church in terms of priests, but in terms of parishes. We cannot say: there are fewer priests, so there must also be fewer parishes. My approach is different: we should ask ourselves what parishes need in order to remain alive locally – even if there is no priest present every Sunday. It's about empowering parishes to live independently. This includes having women and men who support and organize parish life, even if a priest is no longer regularly available as in the past." The Museum of the Souls of Purgatory, Rome The Museo delle Anime del Purgatorio (Italian for Museum of the Souls of Purgatory) is a museum of Rome (Italy), in 12 Lungotevere Prati, within the vestry of the Chiesa del Sacro Cuore del Suffragio. In 1897 a fire burned a chapel of the Chiesa del Sacro Cuore del Suffragio. The priest Victor Jouët saw on the wall behind the altar the image of a human face bearing a sad and melancholy expression, impressed by the flames. He believed that the soul of a deceased man, condemned to Purgatory, had tried to get in contact with living people. This specific occurrence brought to the foundation of the museum. Victor Jouët decided to find other documents and statements about similar facts. The research proved to be more difficult than expected, nevertheless he searched out many materials, showing the following: the deceased people, compelled to pass a period in the afterlife reign of Purgatory in order to purify from their sins, tried to catch …More
The Church in Rome that hosts the Purgatory Museum & the mysterious face appearing in the fire In 1897, when a chapel burned in the middle of Rome, not far from the Vatican, a French chaplain made an interesting discovery. The fire had destroyed the chapel, but when Chaplain Victor Jouët rushed into the burned building, he saw the imprint of a human face on the sooty wall behind the altar. Father Jouët was certain: this image must have come from the soul of a deceased person who was trying to make contact to ask for prayers for the poor souls in Purgatory. ewtn

Perhaps Prevost is no Bergoglio, as he is quiet and doesn’t insults catholics like Bergoglio did, but his fuits speaks volumes of whom he really is... a false prophet. Mother Miriam out of kindness, wont go that far, but Jesus told us about whoever claims to come of Him, but in reality is a false prophet, He says to look at their fruits. * The majority of Leo's appointments are pro gay and un-catholic minded. * He already was excommunicated by promoting his elevation to the papacy through various means. * He did betray our Lord by saying we don’t have the entire truth. * Pushing Francis apostasy and heresies on unsuspecting catholics. * Persecution and closure, through third parties, of the Latin Mass. * Promoting false deities. * Promoting false religions. * Promoting a false church (synodal), instead of the the one our Forefathers taught and even died for. * Promoting mother earth and climate change lunacy. * Promoting arianism to the entire world. * And on and on... Again, this is …More
