Chiara Vigo, of Sardinia, the last remaining weaver of sea silk in the world, talks about its properties. Vigo traveled to Manoppello in 2004 and confirmed that the Holy Veil is made of this rarest of materials. Byssus has not been commercially available for more than 2,000 year.
