Don Henri if Christian churches would be built with state money also then I would have no objections. I would prefer the mosques be converted to Catholic Churches however! Thanks Don Henri

To Kfarley: In facts, it is quite frequent that the State build churches! When the old church get dangerous and collapsing, the city council need to demolish it, but it has too to provide a new building to the parish (according to the famous separation of Church and State Law 1905). So, the French state build sometimes a church on public money.
