Declaration Concerning the Procession of the Holy Spirit

Declaration Concerning the Procession of the Holy Spirit *
[The Most Exalted Trinity and the Catholic Faith]
URBAN IV 1261-1264 CLEMENT IV 1265-1268
GREGORY X 1271-1276
COUNCIL OF LYONS II 1274
Ecumenical XIV (concerning the union of the Greeks)
460 In faithful and devout profession we declare that the Holy Spirit proceeds eternally from the Father and the Son, not as from two beginnings, but from one beginning, not from two breathings but from one breathing. The most holy Roman Church, the mother and teacher of all the faithful, has up to this time professed, preached, and taught this; this she firmly holds, preaches, declares, and teaches; the unchangeable and true opinion of the orthodox Fathers and Doctors, Latin as well as Greek, holds this. But because some through ignorance of the irresistible aforesaid truth have slipped into various errors, we in our desire to close the way to errors of this kind, with the approval of the sacred Council, condemn and reject (those) who presume …More

1 John 4:7-10
"Love is of God."
Let us meditate on this for just one week. Love, joy, and peace comes from God; they are God.
Mark 6:34-44
Let us note that the first nourishment Jesus gives, is teaching.
Now, everything we say and everything others say to us is teaching. Let us carefully examine the words we speak and hear. Let us adjust them positively and realistically.

While virtually every leftist politician on the planet has rushed to declare full support for dictator Nicolas Maduro, the Venezuelan people are out in the streets celebrating his downfall. Let that sink in.

Church Hierarchy Persecuted Those Who Exposed Liturgical Abuses - Cardinal Sarah

Cardinal Robert Sarah delivered a series of talks and homilies on liturgy and sacred music in the U.S. from November 21 to 23, as reported by NCRegister.com on January 3. His main points:
- For decades, the Church’s liturgy has "too often been instrumentalized" and has become increasingly politicized.
- Church hierarchy has "persecuted and excluded" those who have rightly called attention to liturgical abuses.
- "The liturgy is not something that you or I can make up or change, even if we think we are experts—or even if we are bishops. We must be humble before the sacred liturgy, as it has been handed down to us through the Church’s tradition."
- It is "even scandalous at times" to sing or play music in churches that is neither liturgical nor sacred.
- Quoting Benedict XVI: "As far as the liturgy is concerned, we cannot say that one song is as good as another."
- Different kinds of music belong in different places. Liturgical music is set apart exclusively for the worship of God.

Lexington’s Bishop Stowe on Venezuela: “I lament how the Pope’s words for January 1, the World Day of Prayer for Peace, in which he reiterated the call for an ‘unarmed and disarming peace’ were completely ignored by the US administration in pursuit of its own ill-defined goals and with reckless disregard for human life and rule of law.”

U.S. Attacks on Venezuela

Regarding the surprise attack on Venezuela and the capture of Nicholas Maduro and his wife, I point to the statement of our Holy Father Pope Leo XIV delivered after the Angelus address on 4 January 2026:
The good of the beloved Venezuelan people must prevail over every other consideration. This must lead to the overcoming of violence, and to the pursuit of paths of justice and peace, guaranteeing the sovereignty of the country, ensuring the rule of law enshrined in its Constitution, respecting the human and civil rights of each and every person, and working together to build a peaceful future of cooperation, stability and harmony, with special attention to the poorest who are suffering because of the difficult economic situation. I pray for all this, and I invite you to pray too, entrusting our prayer to the intercession of Our Lady of Coromoto, and to Saints José Gregorio Hernández and Carmen Rendiles.
I also lament how the Pope’s words for January 1, the World Day of Prayer for Peace …

3D-Printed Church Project Advances in Czech Republic

The Archdiocese of Prague has welcomed plans for a new Holy Trinity Church in Neratovice. The church is set to become one of the country’s first major parish churches to be built using 3D printing technology. The project is under preparation since fall 2024.
The ark-shaped church will be assembled from over 500 computer-generated concrete blocks and will feature sculptural, wave-like walls.
According to architects, this method will reduce costs and concrete use by up to 70%.
The sterile appearance will also reduce parishioner use by 70%.
The industrial town of Neratovice was founded under communism without a church.
The new building will include community spaces for concerts and seminars, which will give it a social role.

Solemnity of the Epiphany

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Epiphany. We do so with the Church Fathers. The reflections and quotations come from the book titled, Advent and Christmas with the Church Fathers by Marco Pappalardo. Happy New Year to all our readers.
Introduction
'The road is long, / we follow a star. / Slow steps and intrepid hearts / gazing with surety upon the Invisible. / We move toward the Event for its contemplation. / Three men, a star, a child, / and overwhelming joy. / Prostrate, we adore.' This poem was written during a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, specifically during worship near the star marking the birthplace of Christ in Bethlehem. Today, Christ reveals himself to us in our hearts and showers us with gifts. What can we give to him?
St. Leo the Great, Sermon 32, 1
Therefore, dearest brothers, we recognize the firstfruits of our vocation and our faith in the adoration of the Wise Men. With our souls overflowing with joy, let us celebrate the beginning of our blessed hope. Now, …

Russia slams Austria for allowing Ukrainian ultra-nationalist march

Rallies honoring Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera insult the memory of those killed during World War II, Moscow has said
Russia’s embassy in Austria has condemned Vienna for what it said was the authorities’ “effective indulgence” of a march by Ukrainian ultra-nationalists to mark the birthday of Stepan Bandera.
Bandera, a convicted terrorist who had been serving time in Poland for plotting to kill their interior minister, was freed by the Nazis and collaborated with them during World War II with the intention of creating a Ukrainian state aligned with Germany.
In a statement posted on Friday, the embassy said it felt “nothing but deep disgust” at what it called a provocative stunt by a “handful” of Ukrainian radicals based in Austria, who celebrated “a Nazi accomplice” and “war criminal” in central Vienna.
“Such actions constitute a direct insult to the memory of the victims of Nazism and a blatant challenge to public morality,” the embassy said, adding it had lodged an …

Has trump said anything about this? Where is his righteous indignation about this evil going on again in Australia and other countries. Why hasn't he banned satanism in our schools? It takes the TFP to stop them when they can and those of us who sign their petitions. Those who pray with them. He is a liar and fake as can be. Who can't see this? Some do not pay attention as they should be doing. Why is Russia the only country "always" speaking out and condemning and all the evils of the world. Banning and kicking it out of their country?
