Mon May 4, 2026 - 7:06 am EDTMon May 4, 2026 - 11:41 am EDT (LifeSiteNews) — Leo XIV has publicly rejected the teaching of the Catholic Church that capital punishment is legitimate under certain conditions. This teaching, having been proposed for our belief by the universal and ordinary magisterium, must be believed by all Catholics. The denial of this doctrine constitutes heresy. The implications of Leo XIV’s public profession of heresy deserve careful consideration. Leo XIV’s position on capital punishment On April 24, in a video address commemorating the 15th anniversary of the abolition of the death penalty in Illinois, Leo XIV said: The Church teaches that “the death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person.” The words within speech marks are from the text on capital punishment inserted into the Catechism of the Catholic Church in 2018 by Francis. Speaking to journalists in a plane interview on April 27, Leo XIV reiterated …

'It is granted to few to recognize the true Church amid the darkness of so many schisms and heresies, and to fewer still so to love the truth which they have seen as to fly to its embrace.' St. Robert Bellarmine, Doctor of the Church 'Know you not that the unjust shall not possess the kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, Nor the effeminate, nor liers with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor extortioners, shall possess the kingdom of God.' 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 'Yes, indeed, many will be damned; few will be saved.' St. Benedict Joseph Labre 'The path to Heaven is narrow, rough and full of wearisome and trying ascents, nor can it be trodden without great toil; and therefore wrong is their way, gross their error, and assured their ruin who, after the testimony of so many thousands of saints, will not learn where to settle their footing.' le 5 mai Saint Hilaire d'Arles.

Say No to Labour’s ‘Summer of Sex’. The Labour Party is attempting a radical transformation and degradation of our society’s foundational values. How? Through a new initiative, they are calling the ‘Summer of Sex’. Related:BBC'S TRANSGENDER PROPAGANDA Labour MP Samantha Niblett recently launched her “lifelong learning” project with the backing of adult entertainment and adult “toy” industries. This project aims to radically overhaul education and reshape public discourse around intimacy. See also: 1. SIX YEARS WITH MILES CHRISTI. - 2. THREE YEARS WITH “SUPER OMNIA VERITAS”. Niblett’s main partner and advisor in the campaign is ‘sex educator’ and pornography site owner Cindy Gallop, who publicly boasts about enjoying hardcore adult content and believes that children as young as 8 should be taught the ‘joys of sexual pleasure’. Their plan is alarming: to expose people of all ages to adult content in a ‘positive way’ and teach how people how to derive pleasure from their own …More
May 5th - Saint of the Day: Saint Hilary of Arles, Bishop & Monk He had wealth, status, and a future most people would envy. Then Christ interrupted everything. Saint Hilary of Arles was a brilliant young man pulled between ambition and God. He admitted the struggle himself: “On one side… I saw the Lord calling me; on the other the world offering me its seducing charms and pleasures.” But grace won. Hilary gave up his wealth, became a monk, and was later dragged into becoming Bishop of Arles even though he wanted the hidden life of prayer. As bishop, he lived simply, walked on foot, preached with fire, cared for orphans, wept over sinners, and even sold church vessels to ransom captives. And here is the surprising part: he was corrected by Pope Saint Leo the Great after overstepping his authority. Instead of rebelling, Hilary stayed humble, obedient, and faithful to the Church. That is real holiness. Not ego. Not image. Not control. Just Christ winning the heart. …More
“I will curse your blessings” Pope Gregory VII on Priests, Deacons, and Subdeacons Guilty of Fornication: their blessing turns into a curse, and their prayer into sin. The prophet Malachi addresses God's judgment against the infidelity of priests who violate his law. In Malachi 2:2, God says to the disobedient priests: “I will curse your blessings.” Malachi 1:2–2:9, where God reproaches the people and the priests for offering impure sacrifices. Malachi 2:10–16, where infidelity in marriage and the breaking of the covenant with God are denounced. A Prophetic Message Against Francis’ Same-Sex “Blessings” Pope Saint Gregory VII, To the Faithful of Italy and Germany, 1079 (Epistolae Vagantes # 32): “Gregory, Bishop, Servant of the Servants of God, to all who show due obedience to Saint Peter throughout the kingdoms of Italy and Germany: greeting and apostolic blessing. Malachi 2:16 For I hate divorce, says the Lord, the God of Israel, as well as covering one’s garment with injustice, says the Lord of hosts. Therefore, have respect for your own life, and do not be unfaithful.
Pope Gregory VII on Priests, Deacons, and Subdeacons Guilty of Fornication: “As for priests, deacons, and subdeacons guilty of the crime of fornication, let them know that the apostolic authority of the Church forbids them to remain in their orders. They must be removed from the ministry and, if possible, be sent away from the Church altogether. Let no one excuse them on the grounds of ignorance or weakness, for the Church’s discipline is clear: those who commit such sins are not only to be shamed but also to be corrected by the most severe measures, so that the purity of the clergy may be preserved and the people may be protected from the contagion of such vices” ww1.thelatinlibrary.com. This instruction reflects Gregory’s broader reform agenda, in which he sought to purify the clergy from moral corruption, especially sexual immorality, which he saw as undermining the Church’s authority and the spiritual well-being of the faithful. The letter also warns that such sins are not limited …More
byPlinio Corrêa de Oliveira When terrorists bombed the headquarters of the Brazilian Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property’s National Council in the early hours of June 20, 1969, they thought they were striking a significant blow to the organization. In fact, the opposite was true. Soon after, Providence used the event to bring a flow of grace directly to that place. A statue of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception was among the most damaged objects during the criminal attack. We lovingly kept it. When the building’s restoration was finished, our dedicated doorman, Manuel, suggested building an oratory overlooking the street at the exact spot where the bomb exploded, to display the damaged statue for public veneration as a way to make reparation for the offense to the Virgin Mother of God. In response to his appeal, I decided to have the statue carried in a solemn parade from our Pará Street headquarters to the one at 669 Rua Martim Francisco. __________________…More
Acts 14:19-28 Paul and Barnabas were stoned. Afterward, they went to proclaim the Good News: God is Love, God loves us. Turn away from evil and allow God to love you. Finding new disciples allows the mission to continue. John 14:27-31a Jesus said, “You would rejoice that I am going to the Father.” Joy is a recurring theme in this passage. Jesus cherishes joy and peace. The childlike joy within us is a sign that we are close to God. Let us continue to meditate on this childlike joy. To be close to the Father, to be close to God, is the purpose of life. Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.
