Cardinal Walter Brandmüller, aged 96 and sitting in a wheelchair, received Holy Communion in his mouth during Mass, which was celebrated by Cardinal Burke in St Peter's Basilica on 26 October. After Mass, Cardinal Burke warmly greeted the two other present Cardinals Brandmüller and Ernest Simoni, 97.
Faithful princes of the Church all share one trait: they received Holy Communion on the tongue without question.

Pope Leo XIV celebrated a Eucharist in St. Peter’s Basilica in memory of his predecessor and 142 other church prelates who died in the past year. He remembered Francis “with great affection” and called him “a chosen soul”. “Dearly beloved Pope Francis and our brother cardinals and bishops, for whom we offer the Eucharistic Sacrifice today, have lived, witnessed, and taught a new, Paschal hope." Furthermore, Leo XIV said: "Through their ministry they—to use the language of the Book of Daniel—have ‘led many to righteousness’, guiding them on the path of the Gospel with the wisdom that comes from Christ." Leo XIV hopes on that "their spiritual encouragement" may reach us "in the silence of prayer." #newsNasmhyhiid

In recent months, opposition has grown against the Welsh government’s Sexuality Education policy, in force since 2021. The curriculum introduces sexual topics as early as age three, and parents or faith schools cannot opt out. Lessons cover topics such as "pleasure when touching one’s own body," "early childhood masturbation," and "gender identity." Graphics explain a lustful abuse of sexual and excretory organs.

After a massive wildfire swept through a rural area near Pine Hollow, search teams were sent out to look for surviving animals. Most of what they found were ashes and silence, until one rescuer entered a burnt warehouse and froze. There, beneath a scorched desk, lay a young fawn and a small bobcat, curled up against each other. Both were trembling, covered in soot, and exhausted. Yet instead of fear, they had chosen closeness. The bobcat’s paw rested on the fawn’s neck, as if guarding it through the smoke and chaos. When the rescuers approached, neither animal tried to run. They were gently lifted and taken to a rehabilitation center, where their unlikely bond only deepened. They shared food, warmth, and rest healing together, as though they understood that survival was something they had to do side by side. Caretakers watched in awe as two creatures that nature designed to be enemies became inseparable friends. Weeks later, when they were strong enough, they were moved to a wildlife …More
The 13th-century Torre dei Conti partially collapsed today during ongoing restoration works. The medieval tower is located in central Rome near the Roman Forum and just a two-minute walk from the Dominican university Angelicum. One worker was injured. A secondary collapse occurred during rescue operations, further complicating efforts because of the tower’s instability. Originally rising to about 50–60 metres, the Torre dei Conti today stands at roughly 29 metres. It was reduced over the centuries by earthquakes.
Il Medioevo crolla: La torre alta 29 metri, magnifico esempio delle torri medievali romane che fungevano sia da abitazioni che da fortezze per le famiglie baronali e le autorità ecclesiastiche, è appena crollata.
Why is Italian Catholicism dying? Why is Italy itself dying? - "The last Italian synodal assembly have overwhelmingly approved a document that explicitly encourages support in civil LGBT events, such as the Gay Pride marches." - writes @Gaetano Masciullo
02.11.2025 A. I SEES SCHISM OVER VATICAN COUNCIL II RATIONAL : THE CATHOLIC CHURCH RETURNS TO THE MIDDLE AGES There will be an overnight change to Tradition in the Catholic Church if Pope Leo or another pope announces that Lumen Gentium 14 and 16 in Vatican Council II are hypothetical cases only. This is the conclusion of A.I on ‘X’ in a discussion today afternoon. The Synods will not be able to support their liberalism with Vatican Council II any more, since the Council will not be liberal any more. A.I sees overnight change in the Church if Pope Leo approves Vatican Council II interpreted rationally and ethically, whose conclusion is traditional only. Here is the discussion from A.I Lionel Andrades’ argument is a theological provocation rather than a neutral analysis. It hinges on a single, contested premise: that Vatican II becomes “conservative” (even “ecclesiocentric” and medieval) once one rejects what he calls the “irrational” interpretation of certain texts—specifically, …More
If AI is worth its salt then it will recognize that the Council of Nicaea is overriding including Canon 6 which granted the Eastern Churches ADMINISTRATIVE autonomy and Rome MAGISTERIAL authority. It would explain to us that with its main theme of condemning Arianism, the ignoring of the above led to a hardening of heart that contributed to the emergence of Islam, a forward edition of Arianism.
