DECEMBER 16 2025 THE GOSPEL
breski1
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 21,28-32.
Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people: "What is your opinion? A man had two sons. He came to the first and said, 'Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.'
He said in reply, 'I will not,' but afterwards he changed his mind and went.
The man came to the other son and gave the same order. He said in reply, 'Yes, sir,' but did not go.
Which of the two did his father's will?" They answered, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Amen, I say to you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.
When John came to you in the way of righteousness, you did not believe him; but tax collectors and prostitutes did. Yet even when you saw that, you did not later change your minds and believe him."

Substack Imposes Digital ID Checks in Australia Under Online Safety Act

Australian readers opening Substack this fall have found a new step inserted between curiosity and the page. Click the wrong post and a full-screen message appears, informing users they “may be asked to verify your age before viewing certain content.”
Due to authoritarian internet laws, reading now comes with paperwork.
Substack says the change is not a philosophical shift but a legal one. The trigger is
Australia’s Online “Safety” Act, a regulatory framework that treats written words with the same suspicion once reserved for explicit video.
The law requires platforms to block or filter material deemed age-restricted, even when that material is lawful.
The Online Safety Act hands the eSafety Commissioner broad authority to order platforms to restrict, hide, or remove content considered unsuitable for minors.
The definition of unsuitable is wide enough to cover commentary, essays, or creative writing that falls nowhere near criminal territory.
To comply, Substack now asks some Australian …

Book of Zephaniah 3,1-2.9-13.
Thus says the Lord: "Woe to the city, rebellious and polluted, to the tyrannical city!
She hears no voice, accepts no correction; In the LORD she has not trusted, to her God she has not drawn near.
For then I will change and purify the lips of the peoples, That they all may call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one accord;
From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia and as far as the recesses of the North, they shall bring me offerings.
On that day You need not be ashamed of all your deeds, your rebellious actions against me; For then will I remove from your midst the proud braggarts, And you shall no longer exalt yourself on my holy mountain.
But I will leave as a remnant in your midst a people humble and lowly, Who shall take refuge in the name of the LORD;
the remnant of Israel. They shall do no wrong and speak no lies; Nor shall there be found in their mouths a deceitful tongue; They shall pasture and couch their flocks with none to disturb them. …

Firing Tucho is a benchmark for Leo XIV: New York canon lawyer and priest Gerald Murray is urging Pope Leo XIV to remove Cardinal Víctor “Tucho” Fernández as prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. Speaking with journalist Raymond Arroyo, Rev Murray called Fernández’s recently resurfaced pornographic writings “a total disgrace” and “a horrendous production done by a priest”. Tucho is “completely unsuited to be a pastor of souls”.
Rev Murray recalled that Pope Francis justified Tucho’s earlier books as writings of a younger priest. However, the newly revealed books were written until 2009, when Tucho was aged 46: “If we were doing a profile, a criminal profile, about a sex abuser, and I’m not saying he is a sex abuser, but if you saw this literature coming out and you would say to yourself, ‘Well, it’s quite clear that the sex abuser got started a long time ago.’” The conclusion: “He should be fired.” And: “This is going to be a benchmark for Pope Leo XIV. There is something strange with the SSPX

I can't find one link from the SSPX showing the SSPX Chapels in Russia. Something is not right. I love the SSPX but they are not being honest when it comes to Russia. Not only that, but trying to search for a Chapel in Russia is impossible. They don't list even one, when I know there is at least two of them. Why don't they mention even one Chapel in Russia?
Josef Schuztman has mentioned the one he attends and I believe another one in Russia.
This is from a Russian site where they mention where the SSPX Chapels are. They list at least 3 in different cities. But not how many there are.
The largest number of Brotherhood followers are concentrated in France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The Superior General of the Brotherhood is the Italian priest Davide Pagliarani, who succeeded Bishop Bernard Fellay. The Brotherhood's chapels of St. Pius X are also located in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Minsk.

The strange thing about the SSPX is that they remain Catholic in this pagan world of ours.

Maria delos Angeles

I remember my Mother Superior asking me once if I wanted to join the SSPX in France when I was having issues with the convent I was in.., I had no tolerance of the Novus Ordo and apparently that was a problem. I thought, it being a more traditional kind of convent they would be more like-minded to me, but apparently, I was quite alone in my traditional thinking.. me and the chaplain, and he was having disagreements with the Superior over it all. most of the time there was a daily TLM there, approved by the diocese, but the Superior also made it clear in her view "the Mass was the Mass". The other sisters, whatever their true thoughts were on the matter, never made it explicit they were in tune with my way of thinking. A torturous situation to be in over the long term, in a Carmelite convent where no two convents are alike, and there is outright persecution in the worldwide Church going on over this very issue.

Basilica of Guadalupe Rector Removed Amid Financial Investigation

While more than 10 million pilgrims filled the streets of Tepeyac for the 12 December celebrations honouring Our Lady of Guadalupe, a serious internal crisis has been unfolding at the Basilica in Mexico City.
According to InfoVaticana (15 December), the rector, Canon Efraín Hernández Díaz, has been removed from office and placed under a canonical investigation ordered by the Archdiocese of Mexico. The move followed an unprecedented formal complaint by the Guadalupe chapter to Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes.
The canons accuse the rector of opaque financial administration, lack of transparency and accountability, and of bypassing them. The chapter shares legal responsibility for overseeing the sanctuary. According to the canons, these practices endangered both the material assets and the spiritual mission of Mexico’s most important Marian shrine.
In response, Cardinal Aguiar removed the rector on 20 September and ordered a preliminary canonical investigation, opened on 3 October. The …More

JD Vance Under Fire After ‘Theft’ Remark — Usha Told to “Go Back to India”
ANCN
What he said: In an X post over the weekend, Vance wrote, “Mass migration is theft of the American Dream. It has always been this way, and every position paper, think tank piece and econometric study suggesting otherwise is paid for by the people getting rich off the old system.”
The vice president was responding to a video of a Louisiana construction company owner who claimed business had improved since Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) began operations in the state, saying he has “gotten more calls in the last week than I’ve gotten in the last three months.” Vance also said that a future Trump administration would try to remove as many undocumented migrants as possible.
Instant backlash: The post immediately sparked accusations of hypocrisy given Vance’s own family background. “Ok, send your wife and kids back to India and we’ll believe you mean it. You and the orange ... are married to …More

Military Detains Ugandan Priest for "Subversive Activities" - Diocese Spoke of "Kidnapping"

Rev. Deusdedit Ssekabira, a Catholic priest from the Masaka Diocese, Uganda, is in custody of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF). He was reported missing earlier this month, sparking national concern and debate over due process and military involvement in civilian detentions.
Rev Ssekabira was last seen on 3 December. According to the Masaka Diocese, he was taken from his office in Katwe, Masaka City, by men wearing Uganda Army uniforms, who put him into an unmarked vehicle.
The diocese described the incident as a 'kidnapping' and expressed deep alarm, calling for prayers and legal action amid fruitless efforts to trace him.
For nearly two weeks after his disappearance, neither security agencies nor police publicly confirmed knowledge of his whereabouts.
The Uganda Police Force initially said it was “verifying” social media claims of an abduction.
On 14 December 2025, the UPDF issued a brief statement acknowledging that they were holding Rev. Ssekabira. They alleged that he had …More
