A concert was held on Saturday afternoon in the courtyard of the Apostolic Palace of Castel Gandolfo to offer a musical tribute to Pope Benedict XVI on the occasion of his 60 years as a priest. It was celebrated by a delegation from Traunstein, a town in southern Bavaria where the Pope celebrated his first Mass on July 8, 1951. The Pope was also placed in the town of Traunstein's ring of honor, a special award established in 1969 for those people whose work has contributed to benefit the local community.
