Cardinal Arinze:
"If you can find any document from Rome saying 'remove the altar rails', I will give you a turkey."
And this: "And those who want to receive on the tongue. You leave them in peace - and not in pieces."

I agree with PackieJoe. Who ever said ministering Christ's Church militant would be easy? After all, Cardinals wear the red as a symbol that they are prepared to be martyrs for the faith. Christ Himself was executed.
Talks is cheap. Let's please restore what was destroyed by the leftist/modernist/liberal/progressives and let the chips fall where they may.

The Lord does not like timidity, or 'lukewarm'.

Restoration of Holy Mother Church will require much suffering. Much like the redemption of a fallen race required the suffering of One Who was unblemished.

The enemy has nothing but a reliance on the weakness of the people of God. We have all that there is. It's just up to us to be ready to endure the slings and arrows that will come our way from those who bristle at the very sound of the Truth.

Bishops please boldly lead the way!! 🙏

We could go on ad naseum regarding Vatican II and its disastrous effects on the Catholic Church , particularly in Europe and the United States. I know that when I attend a Tridentine mass I am worshipping and giving honor to an infinite God. Our Lord is present: body, soul, and divinity. Padre Pio said that when he celebrated the mass (Tridentine Rite) he saw multitudes of angels and Our Lady present. I pray for all priests who have the courage to celebrate the Tridentine Rite. Handed down from the Apostles and early Church fathers. Pope St Pius V stated it is the liturgy of all time.

I agree: In these matters we never get beyond talking. Nobody seems to agree with how things went but at the same time, nobody implements any changes.

This is nothing but political posturing to the crowd. Is Rome in charge or not? If altar rails are not to taken away, why doesn't Rome order them restored? If you are not to stand during the consecration than insist and force, if necessary, the correct practice. We had teachers like that in school who were all talk with no action. Their classes were unruly and nobody learned. "The Eucharist is not …More

Cardinal Arinze and Rome stop talking and do your job. Fight error and SACK bad bishops and priests. You wouldn't be as nicey nicey talking about the SSPX

Ahhh.... the dry, straight-forward Nigerian attitude towards matters, is rather refreshing. Thanks be to God, a Cardinal who is not primarily a politician! Rome tends to be fraught with too many bureaucrats, spouting a 'party line' of some sort!
