While we ought to pray and offer sacrifices daily throughout the year for the souls in Purgatory, Holy Mother Church gives us a special opportunity to gain a plenary indulgence for the souls in Purgatory, once a day for the first eight days in November – i.e., November 1-8, inclusive. This plenary indulgence may be gained by visiting a graveyard or cemetery and praying for the departed souls. In addition to performing this act, the usual conditions, or rules, for obtaining a plenary indulgence must also be adhered to: - Confession within 8 days before or after; - Receive Holy Communion on the same day; - Reject all attachment to sin, even venial sin; - Pray for the intentions of the Pope with the intention of gaining the plenary indulgence. If the disposition with regard to attachment to sin is absent, or if one of the other three prescribed conditions is not fulfilled, the indulgence gained is partial. Here are the intentions of the Pope, as defined by the Church, no matter the personal …More
Our Lady of Emminont, Abbeville, France - November 2nd, 2025 | No Greater Delight No Greater Delight is a daily Marian podcast meant to start the day with a Marian touch. After examining the Marian feasts celebrated throughout the world on a given day, Fr. Nate offers a brief reflection to help make our love for Our Lady concrete in daily living. The title "No Greater Delight" is inspired by a homily of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, wherein he expresses his joy in preaching about the Virgin Mother, even though he acknowledges the challenge of adequately praising her. Today, Pope Leo XIV has declared Cardinal John Henry Newman (1801–1890), a former Anglican, a Doctor of the Church and co-patron of Catholic education alongside Thomas Aquinas. The announcement was made during a ceremony in St. Peter’s Square. It was attended by delegations from the UK, including Anglican laymen. Pope Leo XIV said: "I am very pleased to welcome the official delegation of the Church of England, led by His Grace Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of York."
Leo XIV has proclaimed St. John Henry Newman a Doctor of the Church.
To place John Henry Newman alongside St. Thomas Aquinas is an outrage! There is no comparison! Poor Cardinal Newman, he is being used by the Modernists who will distort his understanding of the authentic development of doctrine to support and substantiate their apostasy -- just wait and see -- placing him alongside St. Thomas is the sure sign that this is what they intend to do. Stay alert, everyone -- do not be fooled -
He is not een a dude, because he is a heretic and apostate who thinks some woman is his pope,... or some other guy Charlie or something... But not he is a problem here, because most Catholics knows he is a heretic as his papa Charlie is.
On 23 October, Andrea Gagliarducci commented on Pope Leo XIV’s speech to the World Meeting of Popular Movements. The main points are as follows: - Leo's remarks sounded very similar to those of his controversial predecessor. - All of the South American Pope’s key themes were present, including the idea that the centre can best be seen from the peripheries, the Church’s support for popular movements in their struggles for land, housing and jobs, and the exaltation of grassroots movements pursuing bottom-up solutions. - Leo XIV chose to address a unique South American audience, which some have summarised as 'the Social Forum brought to the Vatican'. - References to Christ are missing. - Leo XIV’s ‘civilisation of love’ seems to be particularly social rather than real. - His speech to popular movements has awakened those who see continuity between Pope Francis and Leo XIV. - Leo XIV continues to work within the same structure as his predecessor, using the same ghostwriters as Pope Francis. …More
Walt Disney theme it is a small small world after all we be sung at every Synodal meeting while rowing a boat with guy named Michael. If all works out more great liturgical hits of 70s will be added.
Perhaps Prevost is no Bergoglio, as he is quiet and doesn’t insults catholics like Bergoglio did, but his fuits speaks volumes of whom he really is... a false prophet. Mother Miriam out of kindness, wont go that far, but Jesus told us about whoever claims to come of Him, but in reality is a false prophet, He says to look at their fruits. * The majority of Leo's appointments are pro gay and un-catholic minded. * He already was excommunicated by promoting his elevation to the papacy through various means. * He did betray our Lord by saying we don’t have the entire truth. * Pushing Francis apostasy and heresies on unsuspecting catholics. * Persecution and closure, through third parties, of the Latin Mass. * Promoting false deities. * Promoting false religions. * Promoting a false church (synodal), instead of the the one our Forefathers taught and even died for. * Promoting mother earth and climate change lunacy. * Promoting arianism to the entire world. * And on and on... Again, this is …More
What Mother Miriam says is one of the main reasons I will not return to the Church. I have nothing in my area that even resembles the faith of my ancestors. I’ve come to know way too much about liturgy and the remarkably simple Faith to sit in the pews and ignore the heresy, illiteracy, and laziness that I see there.
The Litany of the Saints is a very ancient Christian prayer in which the Church militant calls upon the Church triumphant for help for themselves and the Church suffering. This prayer is of particular use as our fathers enduring all forms of suffering to bring to us the saving faith we now enjoy. Traditionally this prayer is prayed during a penitential procession on the Greater Rogation Day (April 25) as well as the Lesser Rogation Days (the Monday through Wednesday before Ascension Thursday). This ancient practice has been suppressed in the modern reform and the Litany of Saints, to my knowledge, is only prayed at the Easter Vigil and at an Ordination. Unfortunately, like the other prayers of the Holy Mass, much of this prayer was further edited in the modern reform. For example the petition “against the enemies of Holy Church” is specifically mentioned by Pope St. Paul VI's translation document Comme le prevoit 24 as being “contrary to Modern Christian ideas.” Thus it was removed …More
