Hail Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To you we cry, poor banished children of Eve,
to you we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping
in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate,
your eyes of mercy toward us.
And after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Prophecies of Maria Esperanza Bianchini

Prophecies of Maria Esperanza Bianchini
Excerpt taken from
Prophecies
“The heavenly hurricane will come to help the weak, a battalion led by the Archangel Saint Michael, who will defend you because he will announce the decisive moment, and he will be open to hearing the drums, flutes and bells, able to stand fast and fight with the prayer of the Magnificat.”
She foresees a light coming from heaven, although she did not say whether this light will be visible or invisible, it is just that it will help us to enlighten. “Little by little man will begin to understand the order of the mystical world and in this way, everything will become green and full of hope, with the sweet gaze of Mary and the work of the Holy Spirit, and with the Father who lives and reigns always and forever in a world without end. ”
For Maria Esperanza: “the time has come when humanity must wake up, we must awaken to the love of God. In the coming years a new light from heaven will light our hearts, but before that …

THE CARDINALS AT THE CONSISTORY ARE SCHISMATIC : THEY CANNOT EVEN DENY IT

THE CARDINALS AT THE CONSISTORY ARE SCHISMATIC : THEY CANNOT EVEN DENY IT
For the cardinals at the Consistory this month the Athanasius Creed has exceptions in Vatican Council II but for me there are no exceptions. The red is not an exception for the blue, for me. For the cardinals and the pope, the baptism of desire is an exception for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus of the Council of Florence 1442. For me it is not an exception.
The Nicene Creed for Pope Leo is: I believe in three or more baptisms for the forgiveness of sin. There is the baptism of desire, baptism of blood, being saved in invincible ignorance etc, all without the baptism of water. For me there is only one visible and repeatable baptism, the baptism of water. We cannot give anyone the baptism of desire.
So the Athanasius Creed for Pope Leo and Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez, Prefect, of the Dicastery for the Doctirne of the Faith, Vatican. says outside the Catholic Church there is known salvation …More

The theory of “oil imperialism” does not stand up to a simple review of the facts. The United States is no longer the energy-hungry giant it was in the late 20th century. Texas alone now accounts for around 43 percent of total US crude oil production. ...
Over the past two decades, while Washington was bogged down in the Middle East, the People's Republic of China has quietly and systematically built up political influence in the Western Hemisphere. ...

Maduro’s capture wasn't about oil

The image of Nicolás Maduro in US custody has inevitably resurrected the ghosts of foreign policy past. For the reflexively cynical observer, the narrative writes itself: a Republican White House, a Latin American strongman, and the world’s largest proven oil reserves. As with Iraq in 2003, the slogan of American imperialism and its ‘blood for oil’ foreign policy circulated on social media before the dust had even settled over Caracas. ‘The overnight strikes on Venezuela,’ declared the Guardian, and Trump’s neo-imperial ‘declaration that the US would run the country and sell its oil, have driven another truck through international law and global norms’. This is a comfortable, nostalgic critique, harking back to the heady days of 2003. It is also dangerously wrong.
Maduro was not merely a socialist pariah; he was a strategic landlord
To view the dramatic defenestration of the Venezuelan regime as a resource raid is to misunderstand the fundamental shift in American grand strategy.…

Raclette in Belgian Church: On 13 December 2025, a “giant raclette” dinner was held inside the church of Sainte-Julienne in Verviers, Belgium. The event was organized by the local scout group, with tables and a festive meal set up in the nave. On 17 December, an open letter was published by Yves Willemaers, former president and secretary of the church council of Sainte-Julienne. Addressed to Bishop Jean-Pierre Delville of Liège, the letter denounced the event as a misuse of a consecrated church. The author invoked Catholic doctrine and canon law, arguing that holding a secular meal inside a church constituted a profanation. The open letter circulated online and sparked discussion, yet no public response came from the bishop or anyone else.

What is Sinful Curiosity and How is it the Root of Many Sins?

What is Sinful Curiosity and How is it the Root of Many Sins? - Community in Mission

Curiosity is one of those qualities of the human person that are double-edged swords. It can cut a path to glory or it can be like a dagger of sin that cuts deep into the soul.
As to its glory, it is one of the chief ingredients in the capacity of the human person to, as Scripture says, “subdue the earth,” to gain mastery over the many aspects of creation of which God made us stewards. So much of our ingenuity and innovation is rooted in our wonder and awe of God’s creation and in those two little questions, “How?” and “Why?”
Yes, we are curious as to how things work and why they work as they do. This curiosity burns within us and motivates us to unlock many of nature’s secrets. Curiosity drives us to learn and to gain mastery—often for good, but sometimes for ill.
What a powerful force within us, this thing we call curiosity! It is a passion to know! Generally, it seems quite exclusive to us who are rational, for animals manifest little or none of it. Occasionally an animal might …

A Full Training in Sacred Art Wall Painting Suitable for Catholics
Writing the Light’s 2-year Certificate, Starts Fall 2026, Applications Open Now.
If we want to see a genuine and widespread flourishing of sacred art in our churches, artists must learn to paint church interiors.
To participate authentically in the sacred liturgy, the environment in which we worship must foster an encounter with Christ in the Eucharist. This requires beautifully celebrated liturgies, as well as music, art, and architecture that harmonise with the actions of the celebrants and the congregation.
The frescoes at St Francis of Assisi, Baddesley Clinton, England, painted by contemporary English Catholic artist Martin Earle. See here for more infomation.
If the sacred art is to play its part in this, we need artists who can paint well and on a large scale, directly onto the walls and ceilings of our places of worship, creating sacred spaces that draw us powerfully into the encounter with Christ.
The Writing …

God is a Woman: The Feminist Theology of Sister Simona Brambilla

A year ago, the news surprised the Catholic world: on January 6, 2025, Pope Francis appointed the first woman to head a Vatican dicastery. The Consolata missionary Simona Brambilla was named to oversee more than 600,000 religious sisters and brothers (including 128,559 priests) worldwide.
No less unprecedented was the appointment of a pro-prefect, a position not previously provided for by curial norms in this case. Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, SDB, assumed this role, whose performance remains opaque.
The major secular media outlets cheered the news: «opening» toward women, «pink revolution,» «female empowerment» in the Church. The clichés delighted Francis, who dreamed of «demasculinizing» the Church, although he had already commented, without fear of falling into inconsistency, that appointing a woman to a dicastery would be something merely «functional.»
The new prefect had illustrious predecessors, such as Cardinal José de Calasanz Félix Santiago Vives y Tutó, OFM Cap. (1908-…

On Epiphany, Cardinal Raymond Burke celebrated Mass in the Roman Rite at the Chiesa della Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini in Rome entrusted to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter. During his homily, he reflected on how, like the Magi, we may sometimes lose sight of our star and experience a sense of uncertainty. He believes that it is God's will for us to turn to the Church and those who represent Him among us. He added that Christ comes to us through his priests, who are sacramentally configured to him as head and shepherd of the flock in every time and place. He continued: "Despite their unworthiness, they receive the grace to exercise His pastoral charity, which is ever at work for our eternal salvation."
