This is part 1 of 7 of an interview conducted by LA times reporter Theresa Marie Moreau of Fr Guang-Zhong Gu. This video talks about Guang-Zhong Gu’s youth and his decision to join the Legion of Mary in 1951. He was asked to leave the legion, but he refused to do so, and he entered seminary. In 1955, at the seminary, he and a number of his fellow seminarians were arrested by the authorities and sent to jail, and then to a prison in Shanghai.
