“Thirdly, we have to consider that Mary was not only immune from the threefold woe of actual guilt, and from the threefold woe of original sin; but also from the threefold pain of hell. This threefold woe consists in the greatness, the multitude, and the duration of the punishments."
[Saint Bonaventure – XIII Century AD: Civita di Bagnoregio, Papal States/Lyon, Kingdom of Burgundy-Arles; (aged 52-53); Cardinal, Bishop, Doctor of the Church, Seraphic Doctor, Teacher of the Faith, Writer, Philosopher] “Thirdly, we have to consider that Mary was not only immune from the threefold woe of actual guilt, and from the threefold woe of original sin; but also from the threefold pain of hell. This threefold woe consists in the greatness, the multitude, and the duration of the punishments. Woe, therefore, to the damned and to those who will be damned, because of the greatness, the multitude, and the duration of their torments! "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth!" First, there is the greatness of the torments, as Ezechiel saith: "Woe to the bloody city, of which I will make a great bonfire" (Ezech. XXIV, 9.) The bloody city is the multitude of the impious, of whom there will be an immense bonfire made in the great conflagration of the damned. Oh, how far removed from …More
On Christmas Eve, Cardinal Pietro Parolin urgently summoned Brian Burch, the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See. He wanted to press for details on Washington’s plans for Venezuela, WashingtonPost.com reported on January 9, citing U.S. government documents. Cardinal Parolin served as apostolic nuncio to Venezuela from 2009 to 2013. He wanted to push for a diplomatic solution that would allow the Venezuelan leader to step aside without bloodshed. Lack of Clarity of US Endgame in Venezuela Cardinal Parolin conceded that Nicolás Maduro had to go, but urged the United States to offer him a safe exit. He warned that a violent escalation risked severe regional destabilization. He reportedly asked whether the United States was targeting only drug traffickers or pursuing regime change. According to the documents, Cardinal Parolin suggested that the United States set a clear deadline for Maduro’s departure and provide assurances for his family. He also expressed that he was “very, very, very puzzled …More

Beauty is not the goal. A humble priest and ragged congregation in a humble chapel which is true to the Apostolic faith is more beautiful in the eyes of Heaven than the best pagentry the Synodal Church can muster.

"I do not recall any criticism directed at Pope Francis", Cardinal Stefen Brislin of Johannesburg, South Africa, said at a press briefing on January 8 about the consistory. However, the intervention of Cardinal Joseph Zen was a sharp accusation against Pope Francis, claiming that he was guilty of "ironclad manipulation" and fracturing the Church.
South African Cardinal claims there was "no criticism" of Francis at the consistory (video sequence from January 8)
While I cannot speak for him, one of the diplomats, and politicians, most frequently used tools is selective recall. It would be unfortunate if our prelates have taken to using such tools. St. Peter was truly repentent for the three times he used it.
The number of practicing Catholics increased nationwide from 2010 to 2020, even as the number of churches shrank

The Breakdown of Patriarchy and the Necessity of Restoration for Western Civilization Introduction The crises of modern Western civilization—political instability, social fragmentation, and ecclesial division—cannot be fully understood apart from the collapse of hierarchical authority, particularly patriarchy, which is the divinely instituted ordering of human relationships across family, civil society, and the Church. This essay argues that the rejection of Pope Boniface VIII’s infallible declaration in Unam Sanctam (1302) marked the beginning of a prolonged dismantling of patriarchal order, culminating in the 20th century with near-total disorder at all levels of society. The restoration of Western Civilization, therefore, requires the deliberate reestablishment of patriarchal hierarchy in the family, civil institutions, and ecclesial structures. I. Unam Sanctam and the Rejection of Supreme Authority In 1302, Pope Boniface VIII issued Unam Sanctam, solemnly and infallibly declaring …More
Good article. Tracing the collapse of the patriarchy to Luther's rejection of both papal authority and assertion of the priesthood of all believers ca 1517 may be a clearer origin of the collapse of the patriarchy. That collapse is certainly a critical component in the collapse of both Western Civilization and Christendom.
What has unfolded during Pope Leo XIV’s first extraordinary consistory has already revealed more than any formal communiqué could hope to convey. As I have already mentioned in my last post on this, the agenda is framed in the familiar post-Francis lexicon of synodality, reform, and Vatican II. The Pope’s general audience catechesis, choosing Vatican II as its subject and highlighting liturgical reform and active participation, was a disappointment I have to admit. One can surmise that, on paper at least, this is aimed to speak to a hermeneutic of continuity. In substance, however, it risks reopening precisely the fault lines that many Catholics hoped this pontificate might finally begin to heal. The risk is not that Vatican II will be mentioned, still less that its legitimate teaching will be reaffirmed. Let us hope that is the case! The danger lies in the way the Council is being positioned once again as the primary interpretive horizon for the Church’s present and future. For a …
10.01.2026 CONSERVATIVE CARDINALS AT THE CONSISTORY SUPPORT THE LIBERAL AND SCHISMATIC VATICAN COUNCIL II APPROVED BY THE LEFT Cardinals today are in a similar situation as when King Henry VIII wanted to marry Anne Boleyn and threathened to take away the property of the English cardinals who did not support him. So Protestantism was born. Cardinals Sarah, Burke, Muller and Napier at the Consistory were supporting an irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II which is politically correct and is used to rationalize LGBT ideology. The conservative cardinals did not issue a statement saying ‘LG 8, 14, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc in Vatican Council II refer to hypothetical cases only. They are not physically visible examples of salvation outside the Catholic Church. They are not explicit exceptions for Ad Gentes 7 (all need faith and baptism for salvation) and neither are objective exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus of the Council of Florence 1442, which did not mention …More
Unfortunately, some Catholics think she is a martyr. She left her child and devoted her time to protesting, which is not a maternal attribute. She also became a lesbian, so she sure is no candidate for sainthood.
Because in the bizarro world of the woke Leftist - you're a martyr if killed by the "evil" police, but just inconvenient if murdered by the protected POC migrant class.
All the proof in the world will not change their mind. It's very sad when people don't even ask for the truth. And even more sad they get angry or upset when you try to show them the truth.
