Pro-Infanticide Peter Singer Lectures at Catholic College
Gloria.TV – News Briefs  17/04/2012 06:55:28
Photo ~ Peter and the pig. Prof Singer believes animals should be accorded human rights. In reality, that means that human rights should be reduced to the level of animals and, as Singer believes, infanticide and euthanasia should be allowed, as in the animal kingdom, er..., except, of course, for Peter's mother. Pro-Infanticide Peter Singer Lectures at Catholic College

The Princeton University Professor of Bio-Ethics Peter Singer has proclaimed that no newborn should be considered a person until 30 days after birth and that killing disabled babies could be considered a moral good.

So why, one might ask, did Georgetown University, a Jesuit institution, invite one of the most outspoken advocates of euthanasia to campus this past weekend?

Georgetown did not respond to queries.

Singer once wrote, “Human babies are not born self-aware, or capable of grasping that they exist over time. They are not persons.”

He wrote that “the life of a newborn is of less value than the life of a pig, a dog, or a chimpanzee.”

These quotes should invalidate Dr. Singer from speaking about the ethics of anything, especially on a Catholic campus.

It would seem that Dr. Singer, far from being invited to a Catholic campus should be escorted off one. But the Georgetown Lecture Fund invited Singer to speak this past weekend to speak on ethical issues of using robots in war, according to their website.

A potato has existence, and I have existence. A potato has value and I have value, but the value is not equal. The potato is unconscious, and I am unconscious when I sleep, but that does not render me equal to or less than the value of the potato. Dogs, pigs, and chimps are conscious but not rational- as they only think perceptually through the senses. Humans think perceptually and kinetically, but we also have the … [More]
