Blessed Louis and Zelie Martin, the parents of St. Therese of Lisieux: Their Lives and Beatification.
Zelie and Louis Martin, the first spouses in the history of the Church to be proposed for sainthood as a couple, were declared "blessed" on October 19, 2008 in the basilica dedicated to their daughter at Lisieux. Follow in the steps of the pilgrims to their beatification. See photographs of them, their family, and their homes and churches in Alencon and Lisieux. Visit the historic exhibit "Story of a Family" mounted at Lisieux in honor of their beatification, which vividly recreates their lives using their furnishings, possessions, documents, and photographs. See photos of Pietro Schiliro, the Italian child who was healed at the intercession of Louis and Zelie. View photos of the beatification ceremonies and of the beautiful reliquary. Dear Catholicbug,
Thank you very much for writing. I am very happy that you enjoyed the photos. I haven't gone over thisyear, but I am hopeful that someone who is going will let me have photos of it so that I can make a second show.…More
Dear Catholicbug,

Thank you very much for writing. I am very happy that you enjoyed the photos. There is a new exhibit at Lisieux this summer, with separate areas for each of Therese's sisters and with photos, documents, etc. related to the friends of her family. I haven't gone over thisyear, but I am hopeful that someone who is going will let me have photos of it so that I can make a second show. Since you have a special love for St. Therese, I hope you will visit thereseoflisieux.org to learn still more about her. The story of the spiritual life of the Martin family and of why we are interested in all these photos is very powerful. All good wishes,
Maureen O'Riordan
