In this passage from his work Moralia (on the Book of Job), Pope St. Gregory the Great teaches that all who die as unbelievers and without the sacraments of the Church are not saved. Like other saints who address this matter, as part of his exposition he cites John 3 about how one who does not believe is already condemned. Pope St. Gregory the Great, Moralia, Book 26, Chap. 27 (#50): “Of whom the Prophet says, The ungodly do not rise again in the judgment. [Ps. 1:5] And of whom the Lord declares, But he who does not believe is already condemned. [John 3:18] And of whom Paul says, They who have sinned without the Law, shall perish without the Law. [Rom. 2:12] Therefore even all unbelievers rise again, but to torment and not to judgment. For their case is not then examined; because they come into the presence of their strict Judge, with the condemnation already of their own unbelief. There is alignment, or at least tacit sympathy, between the Transalpine Redemptorists in Scotland and Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, an anonymous priest of the Priestly Fraternity of St Pius X (FSSPX) told TheCatholicHerald.com on 2 November. The priest doubts that they will try to work with the FSSPX, saying: "I think they have gone full sedevacantist. They used to be prior to their reconciliation in 2007." In a statement on 16 October, Monsignor Viganò praised the community for distancing themselves from the Church the previous day. He added that he offered the community "full support", whatever that may mean. On 24 October, the Bishop Hugh Gilbert of Aberdeen stated that the Redemptorists' declaration was "incompatible with the Catholic sense of the Church's unity". He added that the Holy See was examining the matter. #newsVazwvbzsqk

This plenary indulgence may be gained by visiting a graveyard or cemetery and praying for the departed souls. In addition to performing this act, the usual conditions, or rules, for obtaining a plenary indulgence must also be adhered to: - Confession within 8 days before or after; - Receive Holy Communion on the same day; - Reject all attachment to sin, even venial sin; - Pray for the intentions of the Pope with the intention of gaining the plenary indulgence. If the disposition with regard to attachment to sin is absent, or if one of the other three prescribed conditions is not fulfilled, the indulgence gained is partial. Here are the intentions of the Pope, as defined by the Church, no matter the personal …More
