Two dozen Catholic schools across South Dakota did not show Tuesday's live speech of US-President Barack Obama. According to Matt Althoff the Director of Catholic Schools for the Sioux Falls ["Suu Fols"] Diocese, the address didn't fit into its policy. Althoff says Catholic school teachers and administrators always talk with guests before they speak in the classroom to make sure their message fits in with what is being taught in those schools. The President of the United States should not be an exception.

The Prior of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X House of Neustadt, Father Marcus Jasny has celebrated Masses in St. Peter's in the Old Rite. The Priestly Fraternity refers to this on its website in a report about a pilgrimage to Rome of graduates of the Schöneberg High School for Girls near Bonn. The students visited the Eternal City, 24 August to 2 September. Fr Jasny "could' offer mass in the church at 7 clock in the morning.
