Victims of sexual abuse accuse Church of “opacity, slowness, disrespect” Years on from the shocking report that lifted the lid on decades of deviant behaviour by priests and officials of the Catholic Church and very little appears to have been done for the hundreds of victims. The “process of analysis” of victims’ claims, in order to determine financial compensation, is simply taking much too long – and smacks of obfuscation. The Silent Heart Association, which brings together victims of sexual abuse in the Catholic Church, has had enough of waiting. In a press release today it expresses “concern and outrage” – lamenting the lack of information, and general sloth. “The Silenced Heart Association expresses deep concern and indignation regarding the handling of the process of analysing and compensating victims of sexual violence within the Portuguese Catholic Church,” says the release, accusing the Portuguese Episcopal Conference (CEP better known as the conference of bishops) of …
The original rebellion of satan along with his minions presently in the high places are attempting to carry out their hatred against GOD which is NOW manifest in a global-wide earthly rebellion through hatred of GOD and HIS WAY, TRUTH and LIFE. The Prevost counterfeit church of the enemies of JESUS CHRIST are attempting to create their counterfeit church, but they will be defeated. AD MAJOREM DEI GLORIAM
Leo XIV to the Christians of Lebanon: “Dear Christians of the Levant, when the results of your efforts for peace are slow in coming, I invite you to lift your gaze to the Lord who is coming!”
Pray for Lebanon. Consecrate her borders to the Immaculata. There is theft anticipated. The land where Jesus and Mary took refuge from harassment. The land from which Christianity was launched into Europe.

2. December 2025 2. December 2025 12/02/2025 Entire blog as a free PDF eBook. When several readers pointed out in the comments yesterday that I had presented incorrect information in the article They will go to the slaughter themselves, I did what I should have done before publishing: I read the book from which I had quoted yesterday. And indeed: The quotes were nowhere to be found because they weren’t in the book. I’ve often avoided such mistakes, but unfortunately not this time. I wrote a correction, but had to leave the original text unchanged, otherwise new readers wouldn’t have understood what I was trying to correct. I am no exception either—I make mistakes. He who plants trees knowing that he will never sit in their shade has at least begun to understand the meaning of life. You probably know people who ask for help, for example, with choosing a career. As soon as you present them with ideas, each one is supported with countless reasons why it’s impossible to implement. Some …
By Thomas V. Mirus ( bio - articles - email ) | Dec 01, 2025 Let me propose a way to instantly improve the liturgy at your parish. Fear not, beleaguered pastors: it won’t require developing a new skill, arguing with a choir director, or getting in trouble with your bishop. Probably no one will complain, though if someone does, it’ll be a micro-opportunity to practice the virtue of fortitude. It’s a simple case of “less is more”, that “noble simplicity” which Vatican II encouraged for the Roman Rite. If you do this one thing—or rather, stop doing it—the sense of the sacred and the aesthetic quality of your masses will noticeably improve. The lectors of my parish (myself among them) recently received an extensive and thoughtful new set of guidelines. I was very happy to see the pastor officially eliminate a practice that had already mostly disappeared in our church, but which has long been a pet peeve of mine. As a 35-year-old Catholic, I know I’m not alone in this—in fact, the …
Knoxville Bishop Mark Beckman, USA, has "explained" his restriction of the Mass in the Roman Rite. In a November 25 letter (below), he acknowledges receiving "numerous communications and even petitions from so many" faithful asking for the Mass. Key point: The Mass will be abolished in parish churches and will continue only once a month at the chapel of a retreat center in Benton. Monsignor Beckman reports that he received communication from the Dicastery for Divine Worship instructing him to “personally revisit the direction set by Pope Francis in Traditionis Custodes in 2021.” During the summer, Monsignor Beckman returned to his reflections on the Dicastery’s communication: “In conversation only days ago with our nuncio, Cardinal Christophe Pierre, he affirmed that the Motu Proprio remains the normative guide.” According to Bishop Beckman, it became clear “that the desire of the Holy Father was that we move in the direction of re-establishing" the Novus Ordo. He adds: “Current …More
