Saint of the Day: Vigil of All Saints, October 31 Before the many liturgical changes which took place in recent times, Major feasts were preceded by vigils, which were penitential in nature, fasting and violet as a liturgical color. The Vigil of All Saints was a reminder to do penance and practice virtue in preparation for joining the ranks of the Saints. All Saints in Heaven, pray for us! Why most Jews are SILENCED by the MEDIA “They stole land from the Palestinians and they stole identity from Jews.” In this remarkable conversation, Rabbi Elhanan Beck — a Palestinian-born rabbi from Stamford Hill, London — shares his powerful story and deep insights into the clear distinction between Judaism and Zionism. He explains why true Judaism is rooted in faith, humility, and obedience to God, while Zionism, as he argues, transformed a spiritual religion into a political and national project divorced from its sacred origins. Together, we explore: What it truly means to be Jewish according to the Torah The 13 principles of faith outlined by Maimonides How Zionism emerged as a secular movement The Jewish understanding of exile and the promised land The peaceful vision of the Messiah in Jewish scripture Centuries of coexistence between Muslims and Jews This is a heartfelt and eye-opening discussion that challenges common narratives and offers a glimpse into an …More
Pope Leo XIV has appointed Archbishop Andrés Gabriel Ferrada Moreira, 56, as the Bishop of San Bartolomé de Chillán, Chile. The diocese in southern Chile has 400,000 faithful. Monsignor Ferrada was the Secretary of the Dicastery for the Clergy. He is also a member of the Dicasteries for Evangelization and for Bishops. Born on June 10, 1969, in Santiago de Chile, Archbishop Ferrada earned a Licentiate from the Pontifical Biblical Institute and a Doctorate from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. In July 1999 he was ordained to the priesthood. Inner Circle of Homosexual Karadima Monsignor Ferrada was a disciple of the charismatic and homosexual abuser priest Fernando Karadima. The latter was found guilty by the Vatican of sexual abuse of adolescent boys. Ferrada had been a member of Karadima’s priestly grouping (the “Unión Sacerdotal”) up to about 2010. InfoVaticana.com added: “Together with nine other priests he left the Union just before an ecclesiastical investigation …More
To date Pope Leo has not replaced a single dicastery head. His only major appointment has been that of Archbishop Filippo Iannone to fill the seat that the Pope himself had held, as prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops. (And Archbishop Iannone, significantly, was already serving a ranking member of the Curia, as prefect of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts.) Nor has the new Pope been energetic in bringing in his own men at lower tiers of Vatican officialdom. Vatican-watcher Andrea Gaggliarducci observes: “Leo XIV continues—so far—to work with the structure that preceded him, with the same ghostwriters as Pope Francis.”

THE DIVINE PERSONS (FOUR ARTICLES) Having premised what have appeared necessary notions concerning the processions and the relations, we must now approach the subject of the persons. First, we shall consider the persons absolutely, and then comparatively as regards each other. We must consider the persons absolutely first in common; and then singly. The general consideration of the persons seemingly involves four points: (1) The signification of this word “person”; (2) the number of the persons; (3) what is involved in the number of persons, or is opposed thereto; as diversity, and similitude, and the like; and (4) what belongs to our knowledge of the persons. Four subjects of inquiry are comprised in the first point: (1) The definition of “person.” (2) The comparison of person to essence, subsistence, and hypostasis. (3) Whether the name of person is becoming to God? (4) What does it signify in Him? 1-The definition of “person” Objection 1: It would seem that the definition of person …More
