November 1-8 and the Month’s Dedication to the Holy Souls November 1 begins the unofficial “All Saints Octave”: the eight days of November 1 to November 8. Each day of the “octave” one can earn a plenary indulgence for the souls in Purgatory. A visit to the cemetery to pray for the dead can earn a “get out of jail free” card for a soul in Purgatory! I love this time of year, not because of the fall season or pumpkin spice lattes (which I dislike), but because I feel a special closeness with all our brothers and sisters of the Mystical Body of Christ, particularly the departed brothers and sisters. In our daily lives we can easily forget the people who are no longer with us on earth, but they are still closely connected with us. Jesus used images of His Body and also the Vine and Branches to remind us how we remain with Him always, and interconnected with all the faithful, whether we are the Church Militant on earth, working to reach heaven, the Church Suffering waiting to go to heaven …More
NOVEMBER 1 ALL SAINTS DAY breski1 SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS Today the Church, as the liturgy states, has "the joy of celebrating in one feast the merits and the glory of all the Saints" : not only of those whom she has canonized in the course of the centuries, but also of the numberless men and women whose holiness, hidden in this world, is only known to God and shines in his eternal kingdom. Thinking of these illustrious witnesses of the Gospel, we give thanks to God, "source of all holiness" for having given them to the Church and to the world. With their example, they prove that, as the Council teaches, "All the faithful are called to the fullness of Christian life and to the perfection of charity" (Lumen gentium, n. 40), tending to the "high standard" of ordinary Christian life (cf. Apostolic Letter Novo Millennio ineunte, n.31). Today's feast invites us to lift our eyes to heaven, the goal of our earthly pilgrimage. There the festive community of the saints awaits us. There we will …More
Gregory Baum, architect of Nostra Aetate and a perito at Council Vatican II, confessed to concealing homosexual sex life. Baum supported same-sex pseudo-marriage and the use of contraceptives and promoted anti-Catholic views on celibacy and other issues.
TIA: In one of his recent books – The Oil Has Not Run Dry: The Story of My Theological Pathway, published in November 2016 – Baum came out of the closet disclosing that he has been a homosexual for more than 50 years. He also confessed that he did not reveal it before to not harm the progressivist influence he exercised. Homosexual Baum wrote : “I did not profess my own homosexuality in public because such an act of honesty would have reduced my influence as a critical theologian.” “I was eager to be heard as a theologian trusting in God as salvator mundi and committed to social justice, liberation theology, and global solidarity.”More
First Letter of John 3,1-3. Beloved: See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called the children of God. Yet so we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now; what we shall be has not yet been revealed. We do know that when it is revealed we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope based on him makes himself pure, as he is pure. shareyourcatholicfaith
[St. Jean-Marie Baptiste Vianney, the Cure d’Ars – XVIII-XIX Century AD; Dardilly, Kingdom of France/Ars-sur-Formans, French Empire – Priest] “Ah, you say, you are making more of it than there really is! I say too much about it? Very well, then. Listen. Did the Holy Fathers of the Church say too much about it? St. Ephraim tells us that dancing is the perdition of girls and women, the blinding of men, the grief of angels, and the joy of the devils. Dear God, can anyone really have their eyes bewitched to such an extent that they will still want to believe that there is no harm in it, while all the time it is the rope by which the Devil pulls the most souls into Hell? . . . Go on, poor parents, blind and lost, go on and scorn what your pastor is telling you! Go on! Continue the way you are going! Listen to everything and profit nothing by it! There is no harm in it? Tell me, then, what did you renounce on the day of your Baptism? Or on what conditions was Baptism given to you? Was it …More
"Listen to St. Augustine and you will see if dancing is a good action. He tells us that "dancing is the ruin of souls, a reversal of all decency, a shameful spectacle, a public profession of crime." St. Ephraim calls it "the ruin of good morals and the nourishment of vice." St. John Chrysostom: "A school of public unchastity." Tertullian: "The temple of Venus, the consistory of shamelessness, and the citadel of all the depravities." "Here is a girl who dances," says St. Ambrose, "but she is the daughter of an adulteress because a Christian woman would teach her daughter modesty, a proper sense of shame, and not dancing!"
Stinky Joe - @YSLONIKA Family Guy "predicted" the Boston bombing too. And of cours... @YSLONIKA Family Guy "predicted" the Boston bombing too. And of course there is an Illuminati card from 1994 for the planned event. The real person who detonated the first bomb was a jogger in green who then threw the device to the agent jogger behind her who detonated the second bomb. x.com/revolve88/status/1839905982773703142/video/1More
