Wounded Art: Bishop Hermann Glettler of Innsbruck, Austria, has encircled a loaned statue of the Sacred Heart from Vienna’s Votive Church with string lights. Entitled “Wounded Light”, the result is on display at an exhibition in the Kunsthaus Mürzzuschlag from 25 April to 14 June 2026. The bishop's Instagram post reads: “On the polished surface of the figure are auratic cones of light, sites of inflammation, and light-shy wounds.” On Wednesday, Pope Leo XIV received Bishop Glettler after the general audience.

[Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich; XVIII-XIX Century; born: 8 September 1774 Flamschen, Coesfeld, Prince-Bishopric of Münster, Holy Roman Empire/ died: 9 February 1824 (aged 49), Dülmen, Kingdom of Prussia, German Confederation; mystic, Marian visionary and stigmatist; Roman Catholic Augustinian canoness] Meditation III ~ Arrangements for eating the Paschal Lamb. When the disciples had spoken to Heli of Hebron, the latter went back into the house by the court, but they turned to the right, and hastened down the north side of the hill, through Sion. They passed over a bridge, and walking along a road covered with brambles, reached the other side of the ravine, which was in front of the Temple, and of the row of houses which were to the south of that building. There stood the house of the aged Simeon, who died in the Temple after the presentation of our Lord; and his sons, some of whom were disciples of Jesus in secret, were actually living there. The Apostles spoke to one of them, a tall …More
Excert of “Legionario”, May, 23th 1943 (*) During the month of May —the month of Mary— we feel a special protection of Our Lady that extends to all the faithful; we feel a special joy that shines and illuminates our hearts expressing the universal certainty of Catholics that the indispensable patronage of our heavenly mother becomes even more tender, more loving and more full of visible mercy and exorable condescendence during her month of May. Even after the month of May passes, a remnant of this remains— if we have profited from those thirty— one days especially consecrated to Our Lady. We are left with an increased devotion, a keener confidence and, so to speak, such an increased intimacy with Our Lady that in all the vicissitudes of life we will know how to petition her with respectful insistence, hope in her with invincible confidence and thank her with humble tenderness for all the good she does us. Our Lady is the Queen of Heaven and Earth and, at the same time, our mother. We …More
Acts 6:1-7 "The apostles chose seven men filled with the Spirit." The more people there are to proclaim the joy of being children of God, the more joy will spread to every heart. 1 Peter 2:4-9 "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood." This kingship is the kingship of God. Jesus Christ is the King, and his Kingdom is the Love of God. Let us discover the joy of the child within us and welcome God's Love into the Kingdom. John 14:1-12 Thomas said to Jesus, "Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?" Eternal life is found in the Heart of Christ, in the Heart of God. God's Love is eternal life, and his Love is present right now. Let us fully embrace God's love. Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.

The carbon tax, the fight against the economic decline caused by the authorities’ “rescue measures” in the area of migration, global warming, which is currently heading in a direction that threatens the planet with apocalyptic cold waves. One could go on and on with this list. This whole circus boils down to one thing: governments are serving us, on a silver platter, a solution to problems that would never have arisen in the first place without the active involvement of these very governments. It’s as simple as building a flail. A flail is an agricultural hand tool used for threshing, the process of separating grains from their husks. It can also be used for military purposes being made in the same way as a threshing-flail but much stronger and furnished with iron spikes. Source. Yes, it’s simple—but not for everyone. I still come across people who are firmly convinced …

A new Christian-Muslim event at the Grand Mosque of Rome has drawn criticism from some Catholics who question the setting and wider message of the meeting.
Despite originally being announced as one of the event’s featured attractions, Portuguese priest and DJ Guilherme Peixoto will no longer perform at the opening-night concert of Rouen’s 2026 Jeanne d’Arc celebrations on 14 May. The Archdiocese of Rouen, France, said that Padre Guilherme had requested to postpone his appearance. This followed public criticism of his inclusion in the festival programme. Critics questioned the appropriateness of a priest performing electronic music during celebrations dedicated to Joan of Arc. He will be replaced by French DJ Charles B, who will be accompanied by a local opening act. Unlike Padre Guilherme, the replacement performers are not clergy and their performance is not framed by religion. Picture: Padre Guilherme, #newsJkmrzqlodl
