FBI fires top official amid Kash Patel’s outrage over reports of agency jet use A top FBI official with 27 years standing has reportedly been fired by the bureau after its director, Kash Patel, became enraged by press stories revealing he had used a government jet to travel to see his girlfriend sing the national anthem at a wrestling match. Steven Palmer, who had worked at the bureau since 1998, was fired as head of the FBI’s critical incident response group which is responsible for handling major security threats as well as overseeing the agency’s fleet of jets. He was the third head of the unit to be dismissed since Patel became the second Trump administration’s FBI director in February. Bloomberg Law, which broke the story, said that three unnamed sources had expressed astonishment at the sacking given that Patel’s flight schedules were fully public and trackable on websites. A day after her performance, Patel himself had reposted photos showing him together with his girlfriend …More

Statt Diplomatie: Aufrüstung, Drohungen, Kriegsrhetorik. Politiker wie Kiesewetter reden vom „russischen Angriff", während Milliarden in Waffen fließen. Wer Frieden ablehnt und ständig Krieg beschwört, will keine Sicherheit - sondern Eskalation.
Life after life... Sunday, November 2nd Commemoration of All Souls Saint Padre Pio used to say that the graces he asked of God came first through the intercession of the holy souls in Purgatory, rather than through the intercession of the saints. Yes, dear brothers and sisters, what an amazing mystery we live in, what a beautiful thing it is to be part of the Holy Catholic Church, the Mystical Body of Christ, the New People of God who live in three dimensions: the earthly one, which is us still pilgrims on earth; the heavenly one, which is our brothers and sisters who are already in Heaven; and the purgatory one, which is our brothers and sisters who died in God's grace, but not yet completely purified and who eagerly await in Holy Purgatory the moment of their definitive entry into Heaven. They can do nothing for themselves, but they can do much for us by interceding with God. We can help them by having Holy Mass celebrated for them, through prayer, and through corporal and spiritual …More

Letter to the Romans 11,29-36. Brothers and sisters: The gifts and the call of God are irrevocable. Just as you once disobeyed God but have now received mercy because of their disobedience, so they have now disobeyed in order that, by virtue of the mercy shown to you, they too may (now) receive mercy. For God delivered all to disobedience, that he might have mercy upon all. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unsearchable his ways! "For who has known the mind of the Lord or who has been his counselor?" "Or who has given him anything that he may be repaid?" For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. Psalms 69(68),30-31.33-34.36-37. I am afflicted and in pain; let your saving help, O God, protect me. I will praise the name of God in song, and I will glorify him with thanksgiving. “See, you lowly ones, and be glad; you who seek God, may your hearts revive! For the LORD hears the …More

NOVEMBER 3 2025 THE GOSPEL breski1 Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 14,12-14. On a sabbath Jesus went to dine at the home of one of the leading Pharisees. He said to the host who invited him, "When you hold a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors, in case they may invite you back and you have repayment. Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."
Bishop Timothy Senior: “I was shocked and appalled to learn that the Halloween parade float from Saint Joseph Catholic school in Hanover included a replica of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp gate, bearing the words ‘Arbeit Macht Frei.’"
