Opinion-poll made public: The formerly Old Rite Franciscans of the Immaculate published the results of a Vatican opinion-poll that lead to the removal of their superiors, Andrea Tornielli writes on Vatican Insider. 64 percent of the friars stated that the introduction of the Old Rite into the community had caused problems. 77 percent said that these problems could only be removed by an extraordinary chapter or by an exchange of the superiors. 61 percent complained about the style of government of the former superior and founder, Fr Stefano Manelli.

There's so much talk out there about pope Francis. Even if the liberal clergy don't think he's quite what they'd like in a pope, he has given them enough rope to play with in order for them to push their heretical beliefs. The next 6 mos should also be interesting. Heaven help us all.

Tanto la suspensión como la excomunión son censuras, esto es, penas medicinales, dentro del Derecho penal de la Iglesia. Están destinadas no tanto a castigar al culpable, cuanto a corregirlo y a traerlo de nuevo a la senda de la rectitud y la comunión.
