Gloria.TV News on the 11th of December.

A Disaster: The known historian Roberto de Mattei has asked for the demission of Capuchin Father Fidenzio Volpi, the Apostolic Commissioner of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate who were forbidden by the Pope to celebrate the old liturgy. According to de Mattei, the actions of Fr Volpi have been a disaster. Among his most recent moves, the historian cites the closure of the order’s Seminary, the cancellation of the forthcoming ordination of priests and deacons, a ban of all publications of the order’s publisher Casa Mariana, the suspension of the activities of the lay branch of the Friars and the removal of the friars who were chaplains to the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate.

Priest in Women's Attire: On the eve of the Immaculate Conception, the archdiocese of Santiago de Compostela organized a youth meeting. For that occasion, a priest of the archdiocese appeared dressed as a transvestite. The archdiocese reported this along with pictures. After the event hit the press, the pictures were removed from the website.

Lamenting Archbishop: Last week, archbishop Georg Gänswein, the secretary of Benedict XVI, called the resignation of the Pope emeritus a «pain». Gänswein felt that the process was a – quote – amputation. According to him, his years as secretary were very intensive – quote: “I have given my blood during these eight years and sometimes, also licked blood. About Pope Francis he said: "I'm waiting every day anew, what will be different today." But Gloria.tv wants to remind the public of the French proverb: “Plus ça change, plus ça reste la même chose.” [The more things change, the more they remain the same]

No Saint: Timothy J. Williams published in crisismagazine.com an assessment of Nelson Mandela. He remembers that Mandela was convicted of complicity in many murders. He confessed to participation in 156 acts of terror, crimes that would certainly have earned him the death penalty in a great many countries. During his twenty-seven years in prison, Mandela communicated freely with his followers and managed to accumulate a considerable fortune. He was continually offered release by the white government on one condition: that he renounce violence in pursuit of political reform. That is something he consistently refused to do.” While being in prison he was involved in the infamous “Church Street Massacre” killing 19 and wounding 217.

Thank you for the news, and thank you so much Roman Bishop Francis for destroying the Franciscans of the immaculate.
