Complicated Elections: The Legionaries of Christ are not unanimous about what their new course should look like. One focal point for this tension during the ongoing general chapter is whether the legacy of their disgraced founder should continue to be banished. Catholics Killed: Islamic insurgents murdered at least 62 Christians in northeast Nigeria. They killed 22 Catholics by setting off bombs and firing into the congregation in the Catholic church in Waga Chakawa in Adamawa state on Sunday, before burning houses and taking residents hostage during a four-hour siege. On Monday, a separate assault killed at least 40 people in Kawuri, in remote northeastern Borno state.
