The Bishops Sleep: "There is no doubt the noose is tightening for Christians" warns Tom Schuck, a lawyer who represents two pro-family protestors arrested in April at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. The two are Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, and Christian activist Bill Whatcott. They were taken to jail during a peaceful protest. At the time of their arrest they were holding signs. One said: "Sodomy is a sin". Another showed a picture of an aborted baby." What's astounding is our Christian leadership do not seem to be aware of what is happening," Schuck said. He is a member of the Catholic Civil Rights League.

Gone: Former Catholic priest James Radloff has apostatized in order to join a so called Evangelical Catholic Church that allows adultery, marriages against nature, abortion and contraception. More than six months ago Radloff was removed as pastor in Bend, Baker Diocese, Oregon. Local Bishop Liam Cary did not disclose the reason and wrote that Radloff remained a priest in good standing. It seems that at the root of the problem was a personal conflict between the two.

Sentenced: Monsignor Edward Arsenault, former president of the clergy treatment center Saint Luke Institute in Maryland, was sentenced Wednesday to 4 to 20 years in prison for stealing at least 104,000 Dollars from a Catholic Medical Center, a deceased Monsignor and from the bishop of New Hampshire. He will go back to a judge after serving the minimum to determine if the sentence can be reduced. Arsenault had been former New Hampshire Bishop John McCormack's top lieutenant, handling the clergy sexual abuse crisis.

Indictment: 69 year old Fr Edward Belczak and 67 year old parish office manager Janice Verschuren were indicted and accused of stealing almost 700,000 Dollars from St. Thomas More Church in Troy, archdiocese of Detroit. They face up to 20 years in prison if convicted. The indictment comes two days after prosecutors filed a forfeiture suit on a $500,000 Florida condo Belczak bought in Wellington, Florida, seven years ago.
