Father Kevin Robinson, SSPX:
“The Mass - The Foundation for the Spiritual Life”
This talk will focus on the fact that the Mass itself sustains all that is good in this world, from conversions to vocations to the building up of civilization. The modernist changes to the format of the Mass, by obscuring the full expression of the Mystery of the Passion, the Sacrifice, the hard but sobering truths of our holy Faith, all tend to the undermining of the spiritual life and hence contribute to the dissolution of society. The theology of the Mass will be- examined from the viewpoint of its influence over all the sacraments, to give and increase supernatural life. The structure of the Mass will be compared with the four weeks of St. Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises. Biblical and practical, examples will be given to illustrate the key role of the True Mass for spiritual progress.
