Progress towards combined and secure nuclear disarmament is closely connected to the full and rapid fulfillment of the relative international commitments. Peace, in fact, rests on trust and on respect for promises made, not only on the balance of power. Opinion - The possession of nuclear weapons could be seen in the same way as the possession of idols, that require human sacrifice. The 100000000's used to procure nuclear missiles - a profligate waste in any currency - really need 200000000's because of the economic " opportunity cost " - opinion.
