Since 2016, around 100,000 Canadians have been killed through euthanasia, officially labelled MAiD (medical assistance in dying). Introduced under the pretext of "rare cases", the definition has been broadened to encompass non-terminal conditions and, soon, mental illness. MAiD House, which has charitable status, opened its first euthanasia facility in Toronto in 2021 and a second site in Victoria, British Columbia, in 2024. In 2023, MAiD deaths (16,000) accounted for around 5% of all deaths in Canada (325,000).
Recently the very popular Canadian children's writer Robert Munsch just got the go ahead to be killed. He was diagnosed with dementia. He tried to make a joke of the whole thing by saying, "My application consisted of 'Hello Doc, come and kill me' and added, "How much time do I have? 15 seconds.'" Nobody is laughing.
While we ought to pray and offer sacrifices daily throughout the year for the souls in Purgatory, Holy Mother Church gives us a special opportunity to gain a plenary indulgence for the souls in Purgatory, once a day for the first eight days in November – i.e., November 1-8, inclusive. This plenary indulgence may be gained by visiting a graveyard or cemetery and praying for the departed souls. In addition to performing this act, the usual conditions, or rules, for obtaining a plenary indulgence must also be adhered to: - Confession within 8 days before or after; - Receive Holy Communion on the same day; - Reject all attachment to sin, even venial sin; - Pray for the intentions of the Pope with the intention of gaining the plenary indulgence. If the disposition with regard to attachment to sin is absent, or if one of the other three prescribed conditions is not fulfilled, the indulgence gained is partial. Here are the intentions of the Pope, as defined by the Church, no matter the personal …More
On 30 October, the German Bishops’ Conference published a guide urging Catholic schools to incorporate homosexual ideology. The title is: 'Created, Redeemed and Seduced Loved: Visibility and recognition of sexual identity diversity in schools”. In it, the bishops adopt the vocabulary and assumptions of gender ideology (queer, non-binary, cis, heteronormativity). They blaspheme that God willed homosexual lifestyles. Main problematic quotes, shortened for clarity. - The primacy of love orders all other perspectives – including sexual-moral ones. - Being loved in creation and redemption applies to the human person in all his or her diversity – including the diversity of sexual identities. - Queer persons … whose gender identity and/or sexual orientation are not covered by the spectrum of cis or heterosexual people. - Critique of heteronormativity … challenges the notion that heterosexuality is the normative ideal. - Developments in between are not pathological disorders but different …More
The German bishops’ conference published a document Oct. 30 on the 'recognition of the diversity of sexual identities in schools,' previously delayed amid reported disagreements among bishops
And the few German bishops who know this is all against God's will have nothing to say, leaving the German laity leaderless and drowning, and asking themselves if THEY are the ones who can't recognize God's will.

Today, Pope Leo XIV has declared Cardinal John Henry Newman (1801–1890), a former Anglican, a Doctor of the Church and co-patron of Catholic education alongside Thomas Aquinas. The announcement was made during a ceremony in St. Peter’s Square. It was attended by delegations from the UK, including Anglican laymen. Pope Leo XIV said: "I am very pleased to welcome the official delegation of the Church of England, led by His Grace Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of York."
Leo XIV has proclaimed St. John Henry Newman a Doctor of the Church.
To place John Henry Newman alongside St. Thomas Aquinas is an outrage! There is no comparison! Poor Cardinal Newman, he is being used by the Modernists who will distort his understanding of the authentic development of doctrine to support and substantiate their apostasy -- just wait and see -- placing him alongside St. Thomas is the sure sign that this is what they intend to do. Stay alert, everyone -- do not be fooled -
He is not een a dude, because he is a heretic and apostate who thinks some woman is his pope,... or some other guy Charlie or something... But not he is a problem here, because most Catholics knows he is a heretic as his papa Charlie is.
Well not sure what to make of it all. But the last part is surely what we need to do. Unfortunately, I believe too many people are still asleep or living in la la land. I know quite a few myself like that. Looks good when reading it or listening to it. But the problem is how do we wake the rest up and how do we get together to fight it. They keep saying we need to work together. No one shows or tells us how. Some talk about doing it. But noticed no one actually is doing anything about it?
On 23 October, Andrea Gagliarducci commented on Pope Leo XIV’s speech to the World Meeting of Popular Movements. The main points are as follows: - Leo's remarks sounded very similar to those of his controversial predecessor. - All of the South American Pope’s key themes were present, including the idea that the centre can best be seen from the peripheries, the Church’s support for popular movements in their struggles for land, housing and jobs, and the exaltation of grassroots movements pursuing bottom-up solutions. - Leo XIV chose to address a unique South American audience, which some have summarised as 'the Social Forum brought to the Vatican'. - References to Christ are missing. - Leo XIV’s ‘civilisation of love’ seems to be particularly social rather than real. - His speech to popular movements has awakened those who see continuity between Pope Francis and Leo XIV. - Leo XIV continues to work within the same structure as his predecessor, using the same ghostwriters as Pope Francis. …More

When a religious sister felt inspired to write a Catholic vampire trilogy, she knew the inspiration came from Jesus — but she did not know if the other sisters would think she was “crazy.”
Heaven vs Hell: Truth, Love, or Eternal Boredom The reward in heaven is a perfect union with God, free from earthly struggles and filled with infinite truth and love. This eternal worship is a natural response to God’s infinite love and a pure gift of grace, resulting in humility, gratitude, and joy. Heaven is described as a place of infinite joy, gratitude, and fulfillment, where one experiences the complete presence of God. In contrast, hell is portrayed as a state of complete deprivation, devoid of truth, love, and fulfillment, resulting in boredom and misery. God desires a relationship with each person, offering Himself in exchange for their mind and heart, leading to an eternal life of abundance and fulfillment. Heaven is a place of unimaginable fulfillment and worship, far surpassing anything we can experience on Earth. Becoming a saint is essential to experiencing this divine fulfillment. Fr.
