We have had similar scandals this year in Finland, concerning another church, not the Catholic. As far as I know there have been no Catholic cases in Finland. Between 1995 and 2009, German police received 138,000 complaints of child sexual abuse. Of these, 147 were committed by priests or religious. That is, less than 0.1% of the total.
