The life story of Jeanine Decker is very sad and tragic. She left the Dominican convent very shortly after she became (very briefly) a top-selling recording celebrity in 1963. She strayed far from the Catholic Faith, as we know. May God have mercy on her.

But the irony is that her popular song ("Dominique") was actually a good lesson about the heroic life and preaching of Saint Dominic.
