1. That when one has a discussion on these very sensitive matters, justice and biblical charity demands that ones arguments be both academically water-tight and delivered in a balanced, non-confrontational way. This means that one ought to offer good Biblical Scholarship, e.g. citations and informed exegesis of those parts of Scripture which deal with the matter at hand, viz. homosexuality. This is more convincing than just saying to people: YOU ARE WRONG!
2. That the church's position on the matter be better represented by both the written word, viz. the Catechism of the Catholic Church and moral doctrine from the Papal encyclicals, etc. AND balanced discussion on the matter. This would auger better for the Church's case here.

I think that people are very intelligent and therefore would require this approach, which is aimed at convincing rather than issuing orders akin to having a rule-book for life. Roman Law does not attempt to be a rule-book for life, it is a goal to which all must aspire. We in the Anglo-Saxon west tend to project our "letter-of-the-law" approach onto that which is decidedly NOT anglo-saxon in nature, viz. Roman Law.

So while one would agree that homosexuality, for Roman Catholics, is wrong, it is left up to the Church to convince thinking people that they are right - the burden of proof is theirs, not the people. 😇 This video just presents a "letter-of-the-law" approach whithout any good scholarship or balanced discussion thereon. Herein lies my problem with this video, not the point of view which it is labouring to show.

The Priest is right, the gay activist is wrong-END OF STORY. You either follow what God demands of those who love Him or you don't! You love the sinner but HATE THE SIN! You can never be a good Catholic and condone a mortally sinful lifestyle. If you compremise your values in order to please human beings you are yearning for the favor of man and going against your God. A homosexual can have the feelings they have but they cannot act upon their homosexual desires. Their homosexuality is a cross they must bear-they must "die to self" and follow what God says they must do to attain heaven. The devil always tempts the sinner to justify their sinfulness by getting them to believe what they "feel" is what is right. When one acts upon feelings instead of relying on what God demands of the ones who love Him all sin is justifyable. Acting on feelings is where fornication, adultery, murder, pedophilia and any grave sin has its roots. Satan wants mankind to act on their feelings because when man does this he relies on his fallen nature instead of God's wisdom.
