Benedict XVI: Interreligious Dialogue is an Open Road.

The Church believes in interfaith dialogue, it has a profound respect for other religions and is searching to heal the rifts of the past.
This was reiterated by Pope Benedict XVI in his meeting with representatives of other religions on Friday morning. He noted "Since Vatican II, the Catholic Church has placed special emphasis on the importance of dialogue and cooperation with the followers of other religions. In order to be fruitful, this requires reciprocity on the part of all partners in dialogue and the followers of other religions.
He said he was thinking in particular of situations in some parts of the world, where cooperation and dialogue between religions calls for mutual respect, the freedom to practice ones religion and to engage in acts of public worship, as well as the freedom to follow one's conscience without suffering ostracism or persecution, even after conversion from one religion to another.
Once such respect and openness have been established, people from all religions will work together effectively for peace and mutual understanding and so give a convincing witness before the world.

In case you didn't know, throughout the world Catholics and other Christians are suffering enormously many times sacrificing their very lives because of religious persecution primarily (although not exclusively) at the hands of Muslims. Seeking cooperation and respect for all religious by the visible head of the Catholic Church is no sin. Indeed, it is an act of charity and saves many lives.

Have another Pilsner, LH and take a nap.

Common prayers of christians and hindu are idolatry. It is very bad, that Benedict XVI continues in these mortal sins of John Paul II.
Společné modlitby křesťanů a hinduistů jsou modloslužbou. Je velmi špatné, že Benedikt XVI. pokračuje v těchto smrtelných hříších Jana Pavla II.
