“He came, he saw, he conquered”.

Vatican

Pope Benedict XVI is resting at the Papal Summer Residence at Castelgandolfo after completing his four day visit to the United Kingdom. This trip has entailed a fairly punishing schedule with three big open air events, encounters with the Queen and government leaders, with heads of other Christian groups and religious faiths, as well as a series of meetings and Masses with the local Catholics. Benedict XVI’s state visit to the United Kingdom has been universally judged a success. George Leonard Carey, former Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury said about the visit: “He came, he saw, he conquered”.

The letter adds that abortion is a "grave sin against a defenseless life." "Unwanted pregnancies could be avoided if only people are less selfish, are more disciplined and capable of self control, exercising a strong will, and capable of making sacrifices" the Cardinals writes.
