Don't be fooled by this ploy. Listen to the two Catholic scholars who say this is highly unusual. Priests steeped in God's love are not moved by rumors and gossip. They know even parishioners can sin. The opposition has been respectful in the form of a petition. These rumors have not been proven to rise to the level of calumnious inciting of hatred of priests, the faith, and Morlino. It says they may rise to this level.
