Yes, it helps the audience feel connected to the speaker and helps relieve some of the awkwardness of the introductions.

Yes, my role as ambassador begins as soon as I arrive at NCYC and does not end until I arrive safely home.

At exactly the time the session is scheduled to begin.

Approximately 30 minutes before the session begins and I should plan on being present for 15 minute after it ends.
