Profile
Dominican friar, priest and missionary to Japan. Provincial vicar of Dominican missions to Japan. Noted for his fluent Japanese. Founded convents in Meaco and Ozaca. Martyred in the persecution of the Tokugawa Shogunate as part of the Great Genna Martyrdom. At the scene of his execution, he used the time before the fires were lit to preach to the people gathered to watch.

- body burned to ash and the ash dumped at sea by guards to prevent local Christians from gatherine relics of the martyrs
