An adjunct professor at the St. Thomas University (STU) School of Law who once was quoted saying he sees no difference between a chimpanzee and his toddler son, has now filed a lawsuit seeking personhood for chimpanzees earlier this month.
In a pressrelease, Steven Wise compared chimpanzees to human slaves. “Not long ago, people generally agreed that human slaves could not be legal persons, but were simply the property of their owners,” Wise continued. “Abraham Lincoln put it best when he said that ‘in giving freedom to the slave, we assure freedom to the free.’”
At a 2002 book signing event, Wise went so far as to compare his own son to a primate. “I don’t see a difference between a chimpanzee and my 4 1/2- year-old son,” he was quoted as saying.
According to the Law and Politics Book Review, “Wise argues that Christianity is centrally responsible for the cruelties perpetrated by Europeans against Native Americans, African slaves, and animals. The argument would require far deeper …More

Ya know AIDS supposedly came from some guy who liked monkey's too much! This guy might also try to marry someone who is the equlvanet of his 4 year old daughter! Talk about Diabolical Disorientation! 🤦

What is he a "professor" of? - being a twat I guess.
Masturbation is the result of the twaddlers who talk garbage and spread non-sense.
A lovely (and wise) childrens story....the emperor has no clothes.
What a fool he is.

I don't know about the 4 year old, but there seems to be little difference between the intelligence of Wise and the chimp.

Native Americans made slaves of each other, Romans back to Egyptians made slaves of African blacks (which in the case of American abuse entailed Africans being sold to slavery traitors by other African "Black" clans. Native Americans in Mexico and So. America sacrificed each other bloodily and massively. Today in America 75% of "Afro-Americans" have abortions, theoretically paid for by Obamacare (this under an "Afro-American" president). Talk about mass murder! Christianity has its sins, but a blanket causality is indicative not or respect for research, rather flows from polemical goals of disqualifying Christianity. Finally, let people get hungry in very low productive (usually non-or precapitalistic) societies and humans will enslave humans, even eat them. I note that Spanish priests, such as Bernard de las Casas, protested the misuse of natives under Spanish rule.

"To enslave" someone means that person A imposes, often with the threat of violence, behaviorial acts on person B without person B's consent. The massive debt in the US, $17 trillion, must be paid off by generations to come. That means that the behaviorial activities (work) of future generations, if need be by police threat, will be before birth consigned by gov. force to alloting x-amount of time working in order to pay off the debt caused by the CURRENT generation's avid consumption. We of the current generation, specifically our leaders, are enslaving a significant percentage of the work life of future generations to pay for your consumerism.

The adjunct professor has violated the rule of intellectual honesty that should rule in professorial life. I will admit that he is perhaps indistinguishable from a chimp. Indeed, as explorers have filmed, chimps often come together and hunt down and eat other monkey breeds. They really chow down. The adjunct prof. has hunted down and eaten the solemn duty to follow truth and avoid polemics.
