I've been to a muslim restaurant with a sign out front that stated that non-halal foods were prohibited from being brought in. One day, while eating in this restaurant, I noticed a crate in the corner, which upon closer inspection while I was walking at, turned out to be filled with bottles of beer.

The Saudi royal family, which enforces a very conservative hardline shariah law over their country (and even forbids christians from worshipping or building churches), has widely been reputed (or at least some of their members have been) to go to Las Vegas for vacations, watching stipper shows and gambling.

That being said, I think it is a wonderful idea for a mutual funds company to be paying close attention to moral issues in determining what to invest in, rather than having a blind eye towards such issues and only concentrating on making money. I don't know if catholic versions of this exist, but I think they should. There are a lot of ways that people can invest money that can wind up supporting all sorts of things that are deeply opposed to morals and justice. I think perhaps that if enough people did this and invested their money in such a fashion, companies would have to take notice and would be pressured to make changes in their operating, thus helping to create a world more in tune with what is right and wrong.

God bless,

The Muslim population have a great deal of ownership, investment and stock in this country. What worries me is how far is their money going? And to Whom? 🧐

Great video Rope! This commercial is very telling about Sharia indeed. The unintended message of this pro-Sharia commercial is telling people that under Sharia they will no longer have life choices they have as free people. Sharia law is anti women, anti-Christian anti freedom period. The alcohol and cigarettes disappearing means that under Sharia law people are slaves and unable to make choices …More
Great video Rope! This commercial is very telling about Sharia indeed. The unintended message of this pro-Sharia commercial is telling people that under Sharia they will no longer have life choices they have as free people. Sharia law is anti women, anti-Christian anti freedom period. The alcohol and cigarettes disappearing means that under Sharia law people are slaves and unable to make choices they have in a free society. Sharia law allows for husbands to beat their wives and in most muslim countries women are not allowed to drive a car or vote! Watch this commercial again and as even what some may say are bad things disappearing - "cigarettes turning into gum" & "alcohol turns into coffee" also freedom turns into slavery under sharia law!
