Faith and Science, contrasting concepts for many, in fact complement each other, as Pope Benedict XVI has emphasized in many of his speeches.
Russian professor and scientist Alexander Studenikin explains the current pertinence of the issue:
"In many countries there are some groups of scientists who are trying to claim that science is in opposition with religion, with Christianity. And their arguments are not based on recent research or recent results of interpreting scientific research."
This professor from the University of Moscow believes it is not a question of religious belief but of alerting the futures generations to the negative consequences of scientific and technological progress.
"We have to always to think about God, and science is not an exception. Like all other activities, in everyday life, we always must think about God. Of course we can't find in scripture solutions to mathematical equations, but when we think about general fundamental issues, we have to think about our faith."
