Vatican treasures. The works of these tapestries are just awe-inspiring. When I saw them while in Rome, like all the art there, one is just dumbfounded of the grace and gift of these artists!
Also the priestly chasuble were also embroidered using real gold thread. Some chasubles were up to 40 lbs in weight!

You were there in 2000? So was I. Yes, the cameras are suppose to be a no-no. Although I was able to get a few pics while at the Uffizi Art Gallery. 
WOW, I took a tour with this company in Rome for the Jubilee Year 2000, they must really have a good rapport with the Vatican to get to shoot in the Sistine Chapel like that. When I was in there they yelled just for taking my camera out of my napsack.
I hope I can come back some day and see it all empty like this!More
