The Superior General of the Carthusians has resigned

The Superior General of the Carthusians, Dom François-Marie Velut (65), has resigned. According to “josbrunonis.blogspot.com" he is seriously ill. The Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life has accepted his resignation on the 13th October. Dom Velut has lead the Carthusians since September 2012. A new Superior General will be elected on November 3rd.
