May 17, 1992: Beatification of Josemaria Escriva.

A short videoclip of shots from the beatification of Josemaria Escriva and Pope John Paul II's words before saying the "Regina Caeli".
It is time to pray the Regina Caeli, a beautiful antiphon that magnificently expresses the joy of our Saviour's Mother at her Son's Resurrection, and, with her and in her, the joy of the Church and all of us.
Today especially the Church rejoices on seeing Blessed Josemaria Escriva and Blessed Josephine Bakhita raised to the honour of the altars.
In the last moments of his life on earth, Monsignor Escriva also looked with intense affection at the picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe in his room, entrusting himself to her motherly intercession and praying to her to go with him to his encounter with God.
We too, in the light of his example, are invited to look at and invoke Mary, especially during this month that is especially consecrated to her, by praying the holy Rosary.
