In a recent interview Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Custos of the Franciscans in the Holy Land has lamented the discrimination that Christians face in Israel and in the Palestinian territories. In Palestina, he said, “there is a Muslim majority who finds it increasingly difficult to take notice of Christians because they are always fewer, even in the areas that were traditionally Christian.
