Pope Orders Inquiry into Child Sex Abuse by Teachers at London School
Claims of decades-long abuse at Ealing Abbey and neighbouring St Benedict's independent school
The Vatican has ordered an inquiry into claims of decades of sexual abuse at a London abbey and school.
A number of monks and teachers at Ealing Abbey and neighbouring St Benedict's independent school in west London have been linked to alleged abuse from as far back as the 1960s right up until 2009.
The apostolic visitation, as it is called, is the first inquiry of its kind in Britain and could be the first step towards disclosure of other sexual abuse by clerics that have been covered up.
Such an unprecedented move may also be interpreted as a high-level rebuke for the Catholic hierarchy in England, who regularly insist that it has very strong child protection policies.

Gosh..... this has been going on since 09....! 
The headmaster, who was in Rome, has gone AWOL. So it is a matter for INTERPOL now.... nothing more or less shocking than the American examples of this problem which are more cronic in occurrence on account of the size of the USA.

It is a fact that this scandal is widespread and has been suppressed by Church hierarchy. This a good start by the Pontiff, but I suspect there are many more cases that need investigation. The Church should give sanction to permit civil athorities to prosecute these peodophiles. Society has an obligation to protect its citizens, especially the innocent. The Church should give sanction to permit civil athorities to prosecute these peodophiles. Society has an obligation to protect its citizens, especially the innocent. After time served, these men can be assigned to a priest who is trained in this addiction to help them both mentally and spiritually. Of course they are not be in any capacity dealing with children.
