Climate-Change Faith: Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, spoke at a December 3 Acton Institute conference on Laudato Si in Rome. He insisted that the Pope’s support for climate-change is not mere opinion, but – quote – “part of the ordinary magisterium”. According to Sorondo it is owed the same obedience by the faithful as the recognition that abortion is a mortal sin.

Archbishop Has Respect for Mortal Sin: The radical Belgian archbishop Jozef De-Kesel whom Pope Francis named as the new archbishop of Brussels has declared about homosexuals: “I respect the way they experience sexuality.” De-Kesel believes that there are other forms of living together apart from marriage.

Self-Absorbed: 52-year-old Canadian Paul Wolscht was a father of six children until a few years ago, encouraged by “transgender” ideologists, he concluded that he should embrace a “transgender” identity as a six-year-old “girl”. Quote: “I’ve gone back to being a child.” Americansfortruth.com comments: “To say that Wolscht is self-absorbed might be the understatement of all time.” And referring to his children: “This is a form of child abuse–and everyone who supports Wolscht in his delusion is complicit.”

A Former Pupil: The new Argentinean ambassador at the Holy See is 65-year-old Rogelio Pfirter. Father Jorge Maria Bergoglio was his professor of literature when Pfirter studied at the Jesuit High-school of the Immaculate Conception in Santa Fe, Argentina.

400 Children: One in twelve British adoptions is to homosex couples. These figures reveal consistent year on year rises over the past decade. In 2015 around 400 children were handed over to homosexuals.

@Dr Bobus: You make an excellent point. Why should the simple faithful take the ordinary Magisterium more seriously than the bishops?
Dr Bobus
It is certainly true that the environment is part of God's creation and that man must take care of it.

I haven't read the text from Bp Sorono's conference. According to the above report he is insisting that is part of the Magisterium that any Change in Climate is not just a consequence of historical weather cycles but rather of human action. If so, then the bishop has adopted an outdated extreme version of Papal authority that somehow considers any Papal cough to be a message from God.

Even if it were part of the Magisterium, then we would be free to try to find a way of ignoring it, just as several bishops did at the last Synod with marriage and sexual morality.
