Prayer for Employment

Lord, there are many people in our nation who are in need of a steady job with sufficient wages to care for themselves and their families.
Help these people remain diligent in their job search. Give them the confidence they need to succeed and the perseverance to continue on when they become discouraged.
Teach me to encourage those seeking employment and to offer them whatever assistance I can give.
Open the hearts of those responsible for hiring and for the care of unemployed people in industry and in government that they may carry out their work with compassion.
For all the unemployed in our nation, I offer my prayer that they might find productive works that enables them to use and develop their talents and skills and to meet their economic needs.
Amen.

God our Father and our Creator, You bestow on
Us gifts and talents to develop and use in accord with Your will.
Grant to me, through the intercession of St. Joseph the Worker,
As model and guide, employment and work, that I may with dignity,
provide for those who depend upon me for care and support.
Grant me the opportunities to use
my energy and my talents and abilities
for the good of all,

I am out of work, and my finances are in deep trouble.

Grant me peace of mind, so I can fill my life with your
goodness and grace.
Guide me toward a good job where I may fulfill my needs
as a better and wiser person.

This too is work, avodah, the service of God.”
The work of redemption is never complete. It is our task amidst the vicissitudes of life, woven into our days, while our search for employment goes on.
Prayer For Employment
God, our Father, I turn to you seeking your divine help and guidance as I look for suitable employment. I need your wisdom to guide my footsteps along the right path, and to lead me to find the proper things to say and do in this quest. I wish to use the gifts and talents you have given me, but I need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment. Do not abandon me, dear Father, in this search, but rather grant me this favor I seek so that I may return to you with praise and thanksgiving for your gracious assistance. Grant this through Christ, our Lord.
Prayer For Work - Soon
Oh Merciful Father,I come to Your presence fully acknowledging that nothing is impossible with You. Lord, I lose heart when I am continually disappointed in my search for a job and when a job, which I like, goes to somebody else. Endless waiting and all the recommendations unavailing shatter my hope. My mind, under such circumstances, tends to degenerate into doubting Your might and questioning Your love. In all such situations, strengthen me to put my trust in You and to be patient in You.If my sins are a stumbling block to this blessing, I plead with You Father, to forgive them. Lord, I am also very much worried when I realize that I am not in a position to support my family. Turn every sorrow into joy. I know that You will definitely do so. Grant me a good job soon, according to Your will and in the place of Your own choice. Your will is my privilege. I praise You Lord, for hearing my prayer and for Your promise of a job for me soon. A través de tu Santa Esposa, la Inmaculada Virgen Madre de Dios, y sabiendo el amor paternal que tuviste a nuestro Señor Jesús, te pedimos nos asistas en nuestras necesidades y fortalezcas en nuestros trabajos.
Por la promesa de realizar dignamente nuestras tareas diarias, líbranos de caer en el pecado, de la avaricia, de un corazón corrupto. Se tú el solícito guardián de nuestro trabajo, nuestro defensor y fortaleza contra la injusticia y el error.

¡San José, guardián de Jesús y casto esposo de María, tu empleaste toda tu vida en el perfecto cumplimiento de tu deber. Tu mantuviste a la Sagrada Familia de Nazaret con el trabajo de tus manos. Protege bondadosamente a los que se vuelven confiadamente a ti. Tu conoces sus aspiraciones y sus esperanzas. Ellos se dirigen a ti porque saben que tu los comprendes y proteges. Tu también supiste de pruebas, cansancio y trabajo. Pero, aun dentro de las preocupaciones materiales de la vida, tu alma estaba llena de profunda paz y cantó llena de verdadera alegría debido al íntimo trato que gozaste con el Hijo de Dios que te fue confiado a ti a la vez a María, su tierna Madre.
