The religious group who represented the Jews (Pharisees and Saducies) challenged Christ's doctrines, teachings, and in the end rejected Him and persuaded Pontius Pilate to put Him to death. Pilate could not find fault in Him but they insisted upon His death. Therefore, the old covenant has been replaced with Christ's blood and the Jews can no longer claim that they are the "chosen people." There is only ONE true Church and that is the one founded by Christ: The Holy Roman Catholic Church. The Jews do not have any claim or right to dictate ANYTHING to Christ's Church.

I think Jews should be permitted to affect changes in our liturgy, decide who Catholics do and do not pray for/evangelize and also the Jews should have a say in who is or is not canonized. In addition, the Jews alone should make the final decision whether or not the SSPX is reunited to Rome.

Now this is why the SSPX will always be at odds with the Universal Church. Bp Fellay is quite infantile in his theology if he really means what he said about the Jews. Why continue to make division in the Body Christ by uttering such untruth? On the other hand, Bp Fellay is not the first, nor would he be the last Bishop, to preach heresey.
